Premiere - The Flash: a memorable atmosphere tonight at the Grand Rex for the film premiere

To coincide with the release of The Flash in France on June 14, Warner Bros. France has unveiled the first-ever poster for the film, to the amazement of viewers and passers-by on the world's most beautiful avenue.

Screened at CinemaCon in Las Vegas and described as "the film that cinema needs right now" by leading personalities, The Flash is already causing a sensation. After Todd Phillips' Joker and Matt Reeves' The Batman, it's Andy Muschietti's (ÇA) turn to offer fans his unique vision of the DC Universe, featuring several of the heroes that have shaped the collective imagination of several generations - an experience that's a must-see on the big screen from Wednesday. It's in this spirit that Warner Bros. has teamed up with agency Marcel to create The Flash Billboard, the first supercharged poster. It's a gigantic 2 x 4-meter billboard in the image of protagonist Barry Allen, nestled on the roof of 133 avenue des Champs-Elysées.

Beyond its impressive size, it was the immense lightning bolt overhanging the device on both sides that took the breath away from passing pedestrians. A technical feat made possible by the use of electric coils installed at the ends of the structure, with a power of around 3,000,000 volts. Take a look at this electrifying, unique and unprecedented experience, in the image of the film The Flash, which took place on Tuesday June 6 on the roof of Publicis Cinémas: See the video + See the photos

The Flash is being produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Studios, Double Dream, and the Disco Factory, an is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Serving as the 13th installment of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), the movie is directed by Andy Muschietti and written by Christina Hodson. The lead role of Barry Allen / The Flash is portrayed by Ezra Miller, with Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, and Michael Keaton also joining the cast. The story follows Barry as he travels back in time to prevent his mother's murder, resulting in unforeseen consequences.

Development of The Flash film began in the late 1980s, undergoing various changes with different writers and directors attached to the project until 2014. It was subsequently redeveloped as part of the DCEU, with Ezra Miller assuming the titular role. Several directors were involved in the following years, including Seth Grahame-Smith, Rick Famuyiwa, and the duo John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, but they eventually left due to creative differences. In July 2019, Andy Muschietti and Christina Hodson joined the film, with pre-production commencing in January 2020. The movie draws inspiration from the Flashpoint comic book storyline and features appearances by various DC Comics characters, including Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton reprising their respective versions of Batman. Filming took place from April to October 2021 at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, as well as on location throughout the UK.

Production began on April 19, 2021, at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, England, with the working title "Baby Shower." Henry Braham served as the director of photography, having previously worked on DC's The Suicide Squad (2021). Filming locations included Burghley House in Stamford, Lincolnshire, which served as Wayne Manor. St. Paul's Cathedral in London was used, along with surrounding areas designed to represent Central City, where scenes were shot with Miller, Clemons, Keaton, and Calle. Additional filming took place in Edinburgh and Glasgow, where Gotham City scenes featuring Affleck and Keaton were filmed. In Glasgow, scenes were shot in Ingram Street, George Square, John Street, and Cochrane Street, involving several vehicles, including the Batmobile. Unfortunately, filming was temporarily halted on July 29, 2021, when a cameraman on a motorcycle collided with the Batmobile during filming on Renfield Street. The cameraman sustained injuries but nothing severe. Filming wrapped up on October 18, 2021.

The Flash is scheduled for release in the United States on June 16, 2023. The movie faced multiple delays due to director changes, the COVID-19 pandemic, and post-production challenges.
