SDCC 2024 : Super7 Brings Pop-Up Magic to the worldwide convention
Thursday 27 June, 9:01 AM PT
Super7, a renowned collectibles company, is set to enchant fans at San Diego Comic-Con 2024 with two exciting pop-up events and the launch of exclusive products. Known for its collaborations with iconic pop culture franchises, Super7 promises a memorable experience for attendees. The company, which maintains partnerships with dozens of television, film, and pop culture properties, will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons with an immersive space in its San Diego store from July 24 to 28. Additionally, Super7 will host a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mikey’s Pizza pop-up event on Friday, July 26, at TNT Pizza.
In honor of the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons, Super7 is transforming its San Diego store into an immersive D&D universe. Fans can look forward to an experience designed to evoke the opening credits of the original 1980s animated series, as teased by Super7 co-founder Brian Flynn. The space will be filled with exclusive toys, apparel, and accessories that celebrate five decades of D&D mythology. This includes influences from the original role-playing game, iconic box art, and the recent live-action film, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Super7’s previous launches of three series of Dungeons & Dragons action figures have set high expectations for this anniversary event.

On Friday, July 26, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans are in for a treat with the Mikey’s Pizza pop-up event at TNT Pizza (550 14th St #116). From 7 PM until close, fans can indulge in pizza while browsing exclusive Super7 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles merchandise. This fully functioning restaurant pop-up is inspired by the TMNT's love for pizza and promises a fun-filled evening for all attendees. Super7’s relationship with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles goes back many years, with the company releasing 12 series of action figures and collectibles, including poseable 7 versions of all four turtles. These collectibles draw from the original black and white comic book series by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, as well as the long-running 1980s animated series.
Super7 will also debut three Super Cycles, a series of plastic and tin wind-up toys featuring characters from its Peanuts and Universal Monsters lines. Inspired by vintage tricycle toys from the 1960s and 1970s, the Super Cycles include Charlie Brown, the Creature From the Black Lagoon, and The Mummy (Super7’s mascot, Mummy Boy). Each figure stands approximately 5 inches tall, with a wind-up gearbox and a ringing bell. The glow-in-the-dark Mummy Boy will be on display, while the Creature and Charlie Brown figures will be available for purchase. The idea for the Super Cycle line came from vintage tricycle figures featuring Japanese hero characters, which Flynn started collecting as an adult in 1991. This personal history and joy have now been translated into a new way of bringing favorite characters to life.

Beyond these highlights, Super7’s Comic-Con booth (#2543) will offer a wide array of toys, apparel, and collectibles from various pop culture franchises. Fans can find products featuring music legends like Biz Markie and Johnny Cash, Saturday morning cartoon classics such as Jem and the Holograms and G.I. Joe, and even Super7’s original series like The Weirdest and The Worst. The extensive range of merchandise showcases Super7’s dedication to catering to diverse tastes and interests within the pop culture community.
From July 25-28, attendees can visit Super7 at booth #2543 to explore their exclusive offerings and immerse themselves in the creative pop-up events. Whether you're a fan of Dungeons & Dragons, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or vintage-inspired toys, Super7 has something special in store for you at this year’s Comic-Con. With its innovative approach to collectibles and pop-up events, Super7 continues to set itself apart as a leader in the industry, offering fans unique and memorable experiences.
