A chilling revelation for horror film fans, Metropolitan films is set to release the highly anticipated American horror thriller, Longlegs, on July 10, 2024 in France. The film, written and directed by the acclaimed Osgood Perkins, boasts an exceptional cast, including Maika Monroe, Nicolas Cage, Alicia Witt and Blair Underwood.

The plot follows Lee Harker, a freshly graduated FBI agent, who finds himself plunged into the heart of an unsolved serial killer case. As Harker delves deeper into the investigation, occult evidence surfaces, further complicating matters. Tension mounts when Harker discovers a personal link with the elusive killer, forcing him to act quickly to prevent another tragic family murder.

The project was launched in November 2022, when it was announced that Osgood Perkins would write and direct the film. The legendary Nicolas Cage, under his Saturn Films banner, signed on not only as producer, but also as the menacing serial killer at the heart of the plot. Maika Monroe joined the cast in February 2023 as FBI agent Lee Harker, followed by the talented Alicia Witt and Blair Underwood.

Principal photography, led by cinematographer Andrés Arochi, took place in Vancouver, British Columbia, capturing the haunting images from January 16 to February 23, 2023. The eerie atmosphere and captivating scenes are sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

In a strategic move, Neon secured the North American rights to the film at the European Film Market in February 2023, paving the way for its highly anticipated U.S. release on July 12, 2024.

Longlegs is a production collaboration between C2 Motion Picture Group and Saturn Films, with the likes of Nicolas Cage, Dan Kagan, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Dave Caplan and Chris Ferguson on board as producers. The film will also be distributed by Metropolitan Films in France, with a slightly earlier release date of July 10, 2024.

Synopsis:
