Festivals - Gerardmer 2021 : Teddy will be screened in official competition

"We grew up in a remote corner of Lot-et-Garonne, between corn fields and kiwi orchards. And it was the monsters that saved us from boredom. Our mother - Stephen King's most fervent admirer - inoculated them into us from the cradle, through the news she would read to us. These monsters were for us faithful companions who wandered through the deserted streets of our village. We had at heart to make a film of it, and this fantastical country film is Teddy!" - Ludovic and Zoran Boukherma.

Teddy is a French horror comedy directed by Ludovic and Zoran Boukherma. The film has the Official Selection label of the Cannes Film Festival 2020. The cast includes Anthony Bajon, Noémie Lvovsky and Christine Gautier. Winner of the Critics' Prize at the International Film Festival of Catalonia 2020, Teddy has established itself as a successful horror comedy.

In 2016, at the age of 23, the twin brothers Ludovic & Zoran Boukherma co-direct with Marielle Gautier and Hugo Thomas their first feature film Willy 1er, selected at the ACID and awarded the Ornano-Valenti Prize for Best French First Film. Teddy is their second feature film, their first as a duo. Teddy is the second film written and directed by Ludovic Boukherma and Zoran Boukherma. The cast includes Anthony Bajon, Noémie Lvovsky, Christine Gautier. The film will be distributed in France by The jokers.

Synopsis :
In the Pyrenees, a wolf stirs up the villagers' anger. Teddy, 19 years old, without a diploma, lives with his adopted uncle and works in a massage parlor. His girlfriend Rebecca is about to graduate from high school and has a bright future ahead of her. For them, it's an ordinary summer ahead. But one full moon evening, Teddy is scratched by an unknown beast. The weeks that follow, he is taken by curious animal impulses...
