“Alone they’re broken. Together they’re TITANS”

The first Original DC Universe live action show will premiere next Wednesday October 3rd at NYCC and in the United States on the DCU app on Friday October 12th. So, what’s the news? Despite that the DC Universe membership is only available in the US at the time; this series will be available worldwide (except in China) thanks to Netflix and the news came with a new trailer (as you can watch above, subtitled).

We learn from this trailer that the show takes place or begins in Detroit, a city where Dick Grayson is a Detective and has been there for a year; the “Robin” persona has been missing that period of time until the police found footage of the vigilante fighting crime in their city instead of Gotham, where Robin used to patrol. His Robin uniform still links him with Batman, but he doesn’t want to be under his cowl. The little bird is no longer with the Bats, but he won’t be alone for long.

Also we got a different look of how Rachel AKA Raven discovered her powers. She approaches Dick for help, and he feels the need to do it just like Bruce did with him. It can be hard for a young man to take care of a child, he experimented that first hand with his guardian but things got complicated and they fell apart. Though the details are unclear, they had different ideas of how to do their vigilante job.

By the time Beast Boy came to the scene it seems he and Dick meet each other before (and probably Starfire too) judging for what Dick told Raven. Koriand’r (Kory, AKA Starfire) was looking for Rachel to help and protect her and after a while Raven thinks Starfire is a “total badass” (and we agree).Raven is shown in a nunnery and then the action begins!

For fans in the US, Titans will still be only available on the DCU app as we were told since the announcement from this service. It will be streamed one episode a week every Friday for the 11 episodes in this first season. As for the release date of Titans in Netflix, we are still waiting to know more about this, but fans from all over the world will like to watch this show as soon as possible because we were waiting for this moment for a while now.
