By Sabine, Cinéma Pathé Beaugrenelle , 05 may 2024

This morning, the lobby of the Pathé Beaugrenelle cinema in Paris resonated with children's joy. They came to attend the preview of IF. Some were having makeup, others were drewing, while the parents enjoyed coffee and french croissant. Then came the mascot Blue. There was excitement in front of this big, soft purple plush toy.

The comfortable Dolby Pathé room with its seats that allow you to lie down was full when the presenter came to present the film. If tells the story of a young girl, Bee, who one day discovers that she can see everyone's imaginary friends. Then begins a magical adventure to reconnect each child with their forgotten imaginary friend. The film is a mixture of real pictures and animation. The actor José Garcia plays the French voice of Blue and the french singer Mylène Farmer that of the imaginary friend Blossom, an elegant butterfly passionate about dancing, actress Marina Foïs that of the Unicorn. The Blue mascot came for a walk in the room. Then the movie started.

This film is a little gem of tenderness and poetry, which celebrates the power of imagination, for everyone, young and old.

To be seen in french theaters this Wednesday May 8, and in the US Friday May 17.
