Emily in Paris is an American romantic comedy television series created by Darren Star for Netflix. Set and filmed in Paris, the series stars Lily Collins as aspiring marketing executive Emily Cooper, an American who moves to France to provide an American point of view to Savoir, a French marketing firm. There, she struggles to succeed in the workplace while searching for love and experiencing a culture clash with her conventional Midwestern U.S. upbringing. It also stars Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, Camille Razat, William Abadie, and Lucien Laviscount.

Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and originally developed for Paramount Network, where it was given a straight-to-series order in September 2018, the series moved to Netflix in July 2020. Filming takes place in Île-de-France, mainly in Paris and its suburbs, and began in August 2019.

Emily in Paris premiered on October 2, 2020, to positive reviews in the United States but was criticized in France with many French critics condemning the show for negatively stereotyping Parisians and the French. In November 2020, the series was renewed for a second season by Netflix, which started filming in May 2021 and premiered on December 22, 2021. In January 2022, the series was renewed for a third and fourth season by Netflix. Production for the third season began in early June. The third season is set to premiere on December 21, 2022.

On Thursday, December 15, the cast of Netflix’s Emily in Paris took over New York City in celebration of the series’ highly anticipated third season and brought the magic of Paris to local fans. Enthusiasts of the show were invited to experience the Emily in “Little Paris” pop-up holiday market and enjoyed fun and festive photo moments inspired by the beloved series and cozy french snacks including crepes from Oh Crepe!, hot chocolate from Maman, a mini bouquet cart from East Olivia Flowers and other holiday themed sights and giveaways.

Later that day, the cast and series creator, Darren Star, stopped by a special three episode screening of the new season at the iconic Paris Theater. For the historic event, the theater’s marquee was temporarily modified to read “Emily In Paris” and accompanied by an 18 foot tall Eiffel Tower. A red carpet reception for the event was held at the French Consulate that evening. Synopsis :
One year after moving from Chicago to Paris for her dream job, Emily finds herself at a crucial crossroads in every aspect of her life. Faced with two very different paths, Emily will have to decide exactly where her loyalties lie — at work and in her romantic life — and what those decisions mean for her future in France, all while continuing to immerse herself in the adventures and surprising twists and turns that life in Paris provides.
