Paris Manga by TGS 2026 : Les voix de Disney à l'honneur
Paris Manga by TGS 2026 : Disney with Anne Meson and Mimi Félixine
Dimanche 4 Octobre, 20h00 Villepinte, Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte, Hall 7 03/10/2026 → 04/10/2026
Disney’s French musical history had a place in the 40th Paris Manga & Sci-Fi Show by TGS, held on 3–4 October 2026 at Paris Nord Villepinte. Alongside its concerts, the published programme paired Anne Meson and Mimi Félixine, billed as Mimifé, for a Sunday morning Disney conference. Their careers offered two complementary perspectives on familiar entertainment: the singer and television presenter who accompanied Disney’s presence in French homes, and the performer whose voice became part of its animated films.
The pairing is especially interesting because recognition works differently for each artist. Viewers could associate Anne Meson with an on-screen face, a programme and a record collection; Mimi Félixine could be instantly familiar through a character’s voice before listeners knew her name. Together, their careers illuminate the performers behind French audiences’ attachment to Disney.

Anne Meson and the Disney Parade generation
Anne Meson became Disney’s French ambassador in 1989, the year of her breakthrough with “Oliver”. She subsequently co-presented Disney Parade with Jean-Pierre Foucault, becoming closely associated with the company’s French television presence before leaving Disney in 1994. Her musical career was built around both Disney-related material and songs released under her own name, giving audiences a performer to follow beyond any single animated character.
Her experience had begun well before that association. The archival website devoted to her Disney years records childhood advertising work, a role in the 1984 film Stress, directed by Jean-Louis Bertuccelli, and stage appearances in productions including Émilie Jolie. It also documents an unusual early musical credit: accompanying Johnny Hallyday on piano for “Laura” at Bercy in 1987. Her later television success followed years of experience across several disciplines.
One particularly revealing chapter was her 1992 Olympia engagement. The archive documents 36 performances of Anne au pays d’Euro Disney between 26 February and 15 March, shortly before the new French theme park opened. It reproduces production material and describes rehearsals at Euro Disney, where the company could explore the still-unopened park during breaks. The show connected songs, theatrical presentation and the anticipation surrounding a destination that audiences had yet to visit.

Mimi Félixine and the unexpected Hercules audition
For Mimi Félixine, Disney recognition is inseparable from Hercules, released in 1997. She provided the French speaking and singing voices of Megara and Calliope, two characters with very different personalities. Her wider Disney credits include contributions to The Lion King, Pocahontas, Tarzan and Brother Bear 2, spanning featured vocals and ensemble singing.
Her account of winning the Hercules roles adds a memorable detail. In an interview with Le Monde de l’Animation, published by Unification France in May 2024, Mimi Félixine explained that she was already Calliope’s singing voice when she asked to audition for the character’s dialogue. Perrette Pradier did not have Calliope’s scene available, so the audition used Megara’s instead. The unexpected substitution led to her playing both characters.
In that same earlier interview, Mimi Félixine distinguished Megara’s relaxed assurance from Calliope’s lively energy. She also described conventions as the place where she discovered how strongly audiences remembered the voices from their childhood. These recollections give the Paris Manga pairing additional context: the recording booth creates the performance, while a convention lets the artist encounter the people who have carried it with them.

Beyond Disney songs and childhood memories
The career of Mimi Félixine also extends into musical theatre and vocal teaching. Her professional biography lists La Petite Boutique des Horreurs and La Légende de Jimmy, as well as touring work with Manu Dibango. Through Art & Vibration, she developed vocal coaching centred on the individual performer, including breathing, diction and interpretation. The same biography records her work in the contemporary-music department of the Conservatoire de la Polynésie française until July 2019.
For Anne Meson, 2026 also included new recorded music. Amazon Music lists “Good Time”, featuring Dante Trinita, with a release date of 12 April 2026. Her Paris Manga appearances thus sit within an active musical year, alongside the rediscovery of her earlier repertoire.

Disney concerts alongside the Paris Manga conference
The weekend’s musical programme provided a separate setting for that repertoire. In its report published on 5 October, Just Music described Anne Meson’s Saturday solo performance and identified “Oliver”, “Que fera la Belle ?” and “1, 2, 3 soleil” among the songs performed. Its coverage also noted material associated with The Aristocats and The Little Mermaid, documenting the connection between her own catalogue and Disney’s wider musical world.
The same report confirmed a Sunday Disney concert with Anne Meson, Mimi Félixine and Emmanuel Curtil among its participants. The discussion and performances offered different ways to revisit this history. At an edition marking twenty years of Paris Manga, these artists highlighted the French contribution to familiar international stories.
