Spider-man : New Generation

When discussing comics things can get a little confusing. You follow along one story line only to find out later that the same characters have gone in a completely different direction. A male character becomes female, their ethnicity changes, they have new special abilities, they have completely different names that go along with the same alias.  Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse gives you a spiders eye view of the many different angles comic books lead.

After several years of fans begging for Miles Morales to hit the big screen Sony and Marvel finally made it happen and they didn’t disappoint. Though it’s not your typical superhero movie the animation doesn’t stop it from wowing you. From start to finish it’s almost like you’re actually reading a comic, even following certain scenes like an actual comic strip. The animation is not quite standard but it’s still visually eye opening, pulling your attention to details you might not pick up with today’s animation styles.

Though the movie is visually captivating it doesn’t fail to deliver an excellent storyline. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a fun ride for the whole family. A touching story between a father and son, a teenager dealing with the struggle of growing up, the different kinds of friendships that spawn in life and how sometimes when things are hard all you have to do is believe in yourself to get through it, just take a leap of faith. Also you can’t forget about the laughs, this movie is amusing in the best of ways.

If you’re just a casual movie goer or even a hardcore comic verse fan you’re sure to enjoy this stunning adventure. This star studded cast including Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, John Mulaney, Nicholas Cage, Kimiko Glenn and Shameik Moore as Miles Morales deliver astounding performances. Each one bringing their characters to life while simultaneously making you wish each of these characters had their own spin off movie. You’re going to want to see this one on the big screen and as always don’t forget to stick around for the after credit scene, you won’t want to miss it.
