Convention - SDCC 2024 : Discover more Mattel Exclusives

By Mulder, 24 june 2024

Last week, Mattel unveiled several exciting SDCC 2024 exclusives, but the surprises keep coming! This time, fans can look forward to a new Masters of the Universe Origins set featuring the iconic Two Bad character in their original forms before merging. This set allows collectors to enjoy the individual characters, Tuvar and Baddrah, each with their unique parts that can be mixed and matched to recreate the classic Two Bad figure we all remember. This exciting set will be available for purchase on July 25th at MattelCreations.com and at the convention itself, ensuring fans have multiple opportunities to secure their own piece of Masters of the Universe history.

The Masters of the Universe Origins Two Bad Multipack is a true gem for collectors. This set finally brings to life the separate characters of Tuvar and Baddrah, which fans have long awaited. The multipack includes interchangeable heads, torsos, arms, and legs, allowing fans to customize and create the Two Bad figure in its iconic merged form. The set also comes with the Mirror of Avathar accessory and a comic book that tells the story of this fan-favorite evildoer. The packaging is designed to pay homage to the vintage figure's action features, with a removable slipcover and a split-open reveal box that adds an extra layer of excitement to this collectible.

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of The Phantom Menace, Mattel introduces the Hot Wheels STAR WARS Starships Select Royal Naboo Starship. This die-cast Starship is a stunning tribute to the elegance and design of the Royal Naboo Starship. The diorama packaging highlights its gleaming silver finish against the harsh landscape of Tatooine, creating a dramatic contrast that symbolizes the epic battle between good and evil in the film. The Royal Naboo Starship’s packaging dimensions are 7.46” H x 5.43” D x 5.43” W, and it features a dynamic scene with Qui-Gon Jinn battling Darth Maul, making it a must-have for Star Wars enthusiasts.

Another exciting addition is the Mini BarbieLand Mojo Dojo Casa House, inspired by the film Barbie. This playset captures the humorous transformation of Barbie's DreamHouse into Ken's Mojo Dojo Casa House. The set includes a mini Ken figure dressed in a movie-inspired outfit, along with furniture pieces chosen by Ken, such as a baseball mitt chair and a camouflage beach umbrella. The playset's dimensions are 7.10 inches in height, 9.60 inches in width, and 5.20 inches in depth. The clear packaging on three sides and the top offers a full view of Ken’s new domain, reflecting the playful clash between Barbie and Ken as seen in the film.

For Jurassic World fans, Mattel presents the Jurassic World Hammond Collection Jimmy Buffett Figure. This figure commemorates Jimmy Buffett’s memorable cameo in the film, where he is seen saving two margaritas during a dinosaur attack. The figure features Buffett in his island attire, complete with sunglasses and flip-flops. He stands on a rotating tiki hut base, surrounded by “flying” dimorphodons that circle him. The margarita glass lights up and plays music, adding an interactive element to the display. Authentic sounds, including a whirring blender and swarming dimorphodons, enhance the scene. The packaging, shaped like a margarita pitcher, includes custom artwork, making it a standout piece for collectors.
