Paris Manga by TGS 2026 : Hollywood Museum Celebrates Film and TV Memories

Cinema and television memories were central to the Hollywood Museum presentation announced by Noctua Corp for Paris Manga by TGS 2026. The festival’s 40th edition took place on 3–4 October at Paris Nord Villepinte, with the exhibition promoted as a journey through familiar screen worlds. Its stated ingredients were replicas, film- and television-related objects, photographs and memorabilia: a collection designed to connect the images audiences remember with physical objects they could encounter away from the screen.
The exhibition announcement addressed film enthusiasts, television fans and curious visitors alike. That broad invitation helps explain the attraction’s place within a convention covering several branches of popular culture. Recognising a familiar object requires neither specialist collecting knowledge nor a complete understanding of a franchise’s chronology. The exhibition’s premise was to begin with recognition, then encourage visitors to explore the memories and stories attached to the display.

Film and television replicas as objects of discovery
The promotional description emphasised both recognisable pieces and unusual objects, alongside anecdotes about cinema and television. It also invited visitors to take photographs with emblematic exhibits. These details suggest an experience built around looking, remembering and participating, with photographs becoming personal souvenirs of the visit. The promotional text also mentioned documentaries as part of its presentation of entertainment history, although it did not identify individual titles or a screening timetable.
Precision matters when describing such a collection. The announcement explicitly included replicas, but did not provide an item-by-item inventory or provenance records establishing which objects, if any, had been used during filming. A replica can reproduce a familiar design without being the original production object. The confirmed attraction was therefore a display of replicas and screen-related memorabilia; describing every exhibit as an authentic screen-used prop would go beyond the published information.
That distinction can also make the subject more interesting. A visitor may respond to an object because of the scene it recalls, while a collector may want to know how it was made, who produced it and how closely it follows the screen version. Those are different ways of appreciating the same display. The exhibition’s stated combination of objects and anecdotes offered a starting point for both, without requiring the collection to be presented as a comprehensive archive of film production.

A documented history at Paris Manga
The Hollywood Museum had appeared in coverage of earlier editions. In a report published on 20 March 2024, Récits de Geek described a display bringing together helmets associated with Star Wars, weapons from the Marvel universe, Toy Story elements and horror imagery including Annabelle. This is a useful historical snapshot of the exhibition’s range, rather than a checklist of objects confirmed for October 2026. [2]
The anecdote is revealing because of the contrast between those fictional worlds. Family animation, superhero adventure and supernatural horror appeared within the same reported display. Read as an exhibition concept, that juxtaposition suggests a collection organised around audience recognition across genres. A remembered childhood film and a frightening cinematic image could both provide an entry point, even though the emotions associated with them were very different.
A second account, published by Le Blog du Cinéma on 9 October 2024, placed Noctua Corp’s exhibition near the Star Wars village. Its author, Flavien Carré, described accessories spanning the Marvel Cinematic Universe and The Conjuring universe. His response was not unreserved: he found the selection somewhat disparate while still appreciating the exhibition as a pleasant interlude within the convention. That contemporary observation gives a more nuanced picture than promotional language alone.
These reports establish continuity for the attraction without proving that successive editions used the same selection. They also identify a useful curatorial question: how can a display preserve the pleasure of unexpected discoveries while helping visitors understand the relationship between its objects? For a collection spanning multiple franchises, the accompanying explanations can be as valuable as the visual recognition that first draws someone towards a piece.

Noctua Corp and the exhibition’s nostalgic approach
Noctua Corp is identified as the presenter in the exhibition announcement. Separately, France’s official business directory records the company’s creation on 11 March 2022 and lists its activity as organising fairs, trade shows and conventions. This provides independently verifiable background on the organisation behind the presentation, although the registration itself does not establish the ownership or production history of individual exhibits.
Nostalgia was an explicit part of the exhibition’s invitation. The exhibition description encouraged visitors to reconnect with favourite film and television memories through photographs, souvenirs and familiar objects. Its appeal therefore extended beyond identifying a title: the intention was to bring back the experience of encountering a fictional world. That is the editorial significance of its museum-style format within a fan convention, where the display itself becomes the focus of attention.
The most useful reading of Hollywood Museum is consequently as an accessible encounter with screen culture through objects and their associated stories. The 2026 announcement established that purpose; earlier reporting showed how widely the concept could range. Together, those sources explain the attraction’s identity while leaving room for a properly documented inventory to tell the more detailed story of each piece.
