SDCC 2026 : Sideshow Collectibles Returns with Major New Reveals

After several years away from the physical San Diego Comic-Con show floor, Sideshow Collectibles returned in force for SDCC 2026, turning Booth #2401 into a dense showcase of premium statues, sixth-scale and quarter-scale figures, art prints and convention exclusives. The official booth presentation mixed Sideshow’s own releases with a substantial Hot Toys selection and pieces from partner manufacturers, spanning Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Pokémon, Beetlejuice, The Exorcist, The Lord of the Rings, Baldur’s Gate and more. Rather than relying on one blockbuster license, the display worked as a broad snapshot of the current high-end collectibles market, with prototypes and newly announced pieces sharing space with items already available for pre-order.

New Sideshow Premium Format figures lead the Marvel and DC lineup

Marvel was one of the booth’s anchors. Sideshow highlighted a new Doctor Octopus Premium Format Figure alongside upcoming Spider-Man and Omega Red projects, while its wider SDCC presentation also drew attention to the company’s established taste for dramatic character posing and elaborate display bases. On the DC side, two particularly notable announcements were the Batman ’89 Premium Format Figure and a new Mr. Freeze Premium Format Figure. The Batman piece draws directly on the 1989 film directed by Tim Burton, giving collectors another screen-specific interpretation of the Dark Knight rather than a generalized comic-book design.

Sideshow launches its first Harry Potter collectible

One of the clearest signs of Sideshow’s expanding licensing strategy came from the Wizarding World. At SDCC 2026, the company officially presented its first Harry Potter collectible: the Severus Snape Premium Format Mixed Media Figure, based on Alan Rickman’s performance in the film series. Sideshow itself identified the piece as its first Harry Potter collectible, making the reveal more than another statue announcement: it marked the beginning of a new property in the company’s portfolio. The mixed-media format also fits Snape particularly well, allowing the sculptural portrait and costume presentation to work together as a character piece rather than simply an action pose.

Star Wars expands from the booth to the Lucasfilm collectibles panel

Star Wars remained central to the display. Sideshow showed a Chewbacca and C-3PO Premium Format Figure, a Rancor Designer Collectible Statue, a Wampa Designer Collectible Statue and a Maul Sixth Scale Figure. The company then expanded its announcements during the Lucasfilm: High End Star Wars Collectibles panel on July 24, where three additional Premium Format projects were teased: Queen Amidala, Lando Calrissian and Darth Malgus. That trio reaches across very different corners of Star Wars continuity, from the prequel era and original trilogy to The Old Republic, while Hot Toys added The Mandalorian Quarter Scale Figure, Grogu and Anzellans Quarter Scale Figure, and Embo Sixth Scale Figure to the booth’s Star Wars presence.

Hot Toys fills Booth #2401 with Marvel, DC, Alien and gaming figures

The Hot Toys portion of Booth #2401 was effectively a convention attraction of its own. Its Marvel lineup included sixth-scale versions of Cyclops, Gambit, Magneto, Doctor Doom, Hulk, Luna Snow, The Punisher and Spider-Man, plus Professor X, Beast, Galacta and a Sentinel collectible figure; Doctor Doom was also paired with a separate Doom’s Throne accessory. DC was represented by The Joker 2.0 Artisan Edition Quarter Scale Figure, while Alien fans saw the Alien Queen Sixth Scale Figure alongside Hicks and the Power Loader. Hot Toys pushed beyond American superhero properties as well, showing Sam Porter Bridges in the Junji Ito Suit from Death Stranding, several Kamen Rider releases and Sung Jin-woo from Solo Leveling.

Pokémon, Baldur’s Gate, Beetlejuice and cult fantasy broaden the booth

The breadth of the 2026 display was arguably as important as its biggest individual reveals. Sideshow debuted an Astarion Statue and an Elfsong Tavern Fine Art Print from Baldur’s Gate III, a Snorlax Diorama for Pokémon, wedding-version sixth-scale figures of Beetlejuice and Lydia Deetz, a Regan MacNeil Sixth Scale Figure from The Exorcist and a new Legolas Sixth Scale Figure from The Lord of the Rings. Partner Infinite Statue x Kaustic Plastic brought Jareth the Goblin King, Hoggle the Dwarf and a Goblin Warrior from Labyrinth, the 1986 fantasy film directed by Jim Henson. Together, those properties gave the booth a deliberately eclectic identity that reached well beyond the superhero and space-opera franchises most associated with premium collectibles.

Partner manufacturers turn the Sideshow booth into a collector showcase

Sideshow also used its floor space to spotlight partner brands. Tweeterhead presented a He-Man 200X Maquette from Masters of the Universe, Infinity Studio showed a Grommash Hellscream Half Body 1:3 Scale Bust from World of Warcraft, and PCS brought a Darth Maul Bust. This multi-manufacturer approach made Booth #2401 feel closer to a compact exhibition than a conventional single-brand sales stand. For visitors, the appeal was the ability to compare very different approaches to scale, sculpting, costume work and presentation within a few steps, from stylized maquettes to imposing busts and highly articulated sixth-scale figures.

SDCC 2026 exclusives reward collectors on the show floor

Sideshow’s physical return also came with convention exclusives. The Batman: The Animated Series – Mad Love Fine Art Print by Phantom City Creative was limited to 220 pieces worldwide. Three gold-variant replicas from Court of the Dead — Skull Apple, Peeled Apple and Cthulhu Apple — were each limited to 500 pieces. Sideshow confirmed that all four exclusives were sold from Booth #2401 on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies lasted. For fans who could not travel to San Diego, the company ran Sideshow Con online beginning July 20, with livestreams, giveaways and behind-the-scenes coverage designed to extend the Comic-Con week beyond the Convention Center.

Why Sideshow’s SDCC 2026 comeback mattered

The strongest impression from Sideshow’s return was not simply the number of products, but the value of seeing high-end collectibles at full physical scale. Premium statues depend on silhouette, texture, depth and environmental bases in ways that product photography can only partially communicate, while the realism of a Hot Toys portrait or the visual mass of a quarter-scale figure changes when viewed from only a few feet away. With superheroes, Sith Lords, Hogwarts characters, Pokémon, horror icons and cult-fantasy figures sharing the same space, Booth #2401 became a reminder that the collector side of Comic-Con still benefits from presentation as much as announcement. Sideshow did not merely return to SDCC; it rebuilt the booth as a place designed to make visitors stop, look closely, photograph the craftsmanship and reconsider how much shelf space they have left.
