SDCC 2026 : NECA Unveils a Massive Collector Showcase
SDCC 2026 : NECA Brings Alien, Predator, TMNT, DC and Horror to San Diego
Wednesday 22 July, 9:00 PM PT San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, NECA booth #3545 2026-07-22 → 2026-07-26
NECA returned to San Diego Comic-Con 2026 with a display spanning science fiction, horror, animation, comics, music and nostalgic pop culture. Comic-Con officially ran July 23–26 after Preview Night on July 22. At booth #3545, the breadth of the catalogue was the story: current screen properties appeared beside decades-old characters, retro formats and convention-only variations.
NECA also operated its Vault online and at booth #3545 from July 22–26. Selected past products were unlocked on an hourly schedule while supplies lasted. NECA described quantities as very limited and first come, first served, giving convention week a second collector component beyond the new products on display.

Alien and Predator dominate the science-fiction selection
Alien had a major presence. The Alien: Earth Ultimate Xenomorph translates the creature from FX’s series into NECA’s 7-inch scale with an articulated jaw and inner mouth, bendable tail and interchangeable hands. Accessories include a closed Ovomorph, Facehugger and Chestburster, allowing one release to evoke several of the franchise’s most recognizable biological forms.
Ultimate Wendy’s Xenomorph from Alien: Earth was also part of the display. NECA additionally marked the 40th anniversary of James Cameron’s Aliens with the Ultimate Warrior Xenomorph, placing the franchise’s established cinematic imagery alongside its newest television incarnation.
Predator was represented by the Predator: Badlands Ultimate Kwei Predator, based on Kwei, Dek’s brother in the 2025 film. The 7-inch-scale figure includes interchangeable mask and expression faceplates, alternate hands, collapsed and extended Yautja swords, a Yautja toy and shield, emphasizing the multiple display configurations associated with NECA’s Ultimate format.
Horror brings Jason Voorhees and the Fisherman together
NECA displayed Jason Universe: Sweet Revenge Ultimate Jason, based on Jason Voorhees as presented in the Sweet Revenge short film. Rather than returning only to an older Friday the 13th appearance, the figure connects one of horror collecting’s best-known characters to newer Jason Universe material.
The Fisherman from I Know What You Did Last Summer also entered the Ultimate line. NECA’s official listing confirms a fully articulated 7-inch-scale figure with a fabric slicker and poseable wired capelet. Accessories include three Fisherman hooks, a boat hook, machete, fillet knife, harpoon gun and hedge shears. NECA currently estimates shipping in Q4 2026 and notes that shipping dates can change.

TMNT connects animation history with a convention exclusive
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles again occupied a substantial place in NECA’s offering. Ultimate Tempestra represented the 1987 animated series, while Fortnite x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brought a contemporary crossover interpretation into the same wider display.
The key convention-specific release was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012 Cartoon) Sketch Turtles 7-inch Scale Action Figure 4-Pack. Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo feature stylized black-and-white decoration designed by TMNT artist and 2012 series executive producer Ciro Nieli. NECA priced the set at $150, limited online purchases to four per household and estimated shipment after SDCC in Q3 2026.
NECA explicitly credits Ciro Nieli for the monochrome deco, giving the exclusive a direct creative link to the visual identity of the 2012 series.

DC Comics embraces the retro clothed-action-figure format
DC Comics extended NECA’s retro-inspired 8-inch clothed figure range. The SDCC material included Green Lantern and Superman, as well as Batman inspired by the 1966 television series and Superman connected to Christopher Reeve’s appearance in the 1978 film.
A separate DC Comics Batman 8-inch Clothed Action Figure was one of the three official 2026 convention exclusives. NECA describes it as fully articulated and dressed in tailored fabric clothing inspired by vintage toy lines. It was priced at $45, limited to four per household online and given an estimated post-SDCC Q3 2026 shipping window.

The Muppets, Sesame Street, KISS and McDonald’s widen the mix
The Muppets and Sesame Street showed another side of the catalogue. The display included Ultimate Mahna Mahna and the Snowths, Gonzo with Camilla, and Kermit as Bob Cratchit with Robin as Tiny Tim from The Muppet Christmas Carol, extending NECA’s range tied to the creative legacy of Jim Henson. Sesame Street was represented by Ultimate Oscar the Grouch.
KISS appeared through a Dressed to Kill Album Cover 7-inch Scale Action Figure 4-Pack inspired by the band’s 1975 album. NECA’s McDonald’s material included McDonald’s x Ben Cooper Costume figures based on Grimace, Hamburglar and Birdie the Early Bird, plus Grimace and Hamburglar Head Knockers. Powdered Toast Man from The Ren & Stimpy Show added another piece of animation nostalgia.

Three official 2026 convention exclusives
NECA’s official convention-exclusive collection contained three products: the $150 TMNT 2012 Sketch Turtles four-pack, the $45 DC Comics Batman 8-inch clothed figure and the $25 Ben Cooper Costume Kids Collection Mummy 6-inch glow-in-the-dark figure. NECA’s official store currently lists all three as sold out.
NECA stated that these exclusives were available only through its online convention pre-order event and at its SDCC booth, where limited quantities were first come, first served. The company said they would not be offered in stores or at other conventions. Online convention-exclusive orders were estimated to begin shipping after SDCC in Q3 2026.

A booth built around the breadth of NECA’s licenses
Combined with the Vault’s timed return of selected older products, booth #3545 summarized NECA’s approach: screen detail, retro formats, artist-driven variations, crossovers and convention scarcity.
