Comic Con Liverpool 2026 : Stars, Cosplay and Fan Stories
Comic Con Liverpool 2026 : Star Reunions, Fan Encounters and Lessons Learned
Sunday 11 October, 2:00 PM PT Royaume-Uni. Liverpool Experience Campus, King's Dock, 16 Monarchs Quay, halls 1A et 1B 2026-10-10 → 2026-10-11
Comic Con Liverpool returned to King's Dock on 10–11 October 2026, bringing celebrity encounters, costume craftsmanship and screen nostalgia together across Liverpool's waterfront event campus. Organised by Monopoly Events, the autumn convention combined a substantial announced guest roster with the personal exchanges that give these gatherings their emotional appeal. Published accounts describe an enthusiastic weekend, while also revealing how queues and competing bookings could shape an individual visit.

Game of Thrones and Doctor Who anchor the announced guest list
The pre-event roster assembled a particularly extensive Game of Thrones contingent. Among the announced names were Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, John Bradley, Alfie Allen, Jerome Flynn, Rory McCann, Carice van Houten, Isaac Hempstead-Wright and Tom Wlaschiha. Doctor Who fans were offered another major draw through Peter Capaldi, Christopher Eccleston, Catherine Tate, Jenna Coleman and Pearl Mackie. These are verified announcements, rather than confirmation that every performer attended every advertised session.
The wider programme linked several generations of popular entertainment. Back to the Future was represented in the announced line-up by Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Harry Waters Jr. and Don Fullilove. Jude Law was announced for Saturday, while other advertised guests included David Harbour, Billy Zane, Mira Sorvino, Christopher Lambert and Pam Grier. Such combinations explain the event's cross-generational appeal: different viewing histories could lead visitors to the same convention, even when their priorities once inside were entirely different.

Personal encounters give the weekend its most memorable stories
A visitor account published by Chris164 Reviews on 10 October describes Emilia Clarke making time for fans despite a substantial queue. The writer also recalls an animated joint photoshoot with Peter Capaldi and Pearl Mackie, during which the performers reacted enthusiastically to a signed artwork. These are individual recollections, but their specificity captures something that a guest list cannot: the importance of a brief, attentive exchange.
Comic Movie DB's report, published on 14 October, offers a different kind of anecdote. It describes an emotional moment when Maggie Wheeler was asked about Matthew Perry during her panel. The publication also recalls discussion of where her Friends character might be in 2026. This was a panel conversation about a familiar fictional world, not an announcement of a revival.

Cosplay and independent makers broaden the convention experience
Comic Movie DB also praised the cosplay show and described conversations with makers selling handmade creations. Its team reported arriving early to film and browse before the shopping areas became harder to navigate. The account thanked Monopoly Events for the invitation, a relevant detail when weighing its enthusiastic assessment. It remains useful eyewitness coverage, rather than a representative survey of everyone attending.
Advertised attractions extended the programme beyond celebrity bookings. A TIE Fighter replica, a Back to the Future clock set and appearances by costumed fan groups were publicised before the weekend. These additions offered further reasons to explore the campus, alongside the gaming, props and Q&A activities promoted for the event. The distinction matters: the programme could appeal to visitors interested in making costumes, collecting artwork or sharing a fandom as well as meeting actors.

Queues and travel show the importance of the visitor experience
The Chris164 Reviews account also describes disruption around Christopher Eccleston, reporting an arrival close to noon instead of the anticipated 9.30am and a decision to give up lunch to accommodate fans. The writer says friends with an early-afternoon photo booking eventually received their pictures at 6pm. These timings are attributed testimony, not independently established findings about the entire event.
The same visitor found navigation between buildings initially overwhelming, yet finished positively after meeting the guests they wanted to see. That combination resists a simple verdict: a rewarding personal experience can coexist with frustrating logistics. One account cannot establish the frequency of such problems, but it does illustrate why clear directions and communication during schedule changes matter.
Travel added a separate complication. Merseyrail's event information warned that engineering works beginning on Sunday 11 October would affect the Hunts Cross line, with additional impacts on other lines on Sundays. That notice provides concrete context for the weekend's transport planning; it does not establish how many convention visitors were delayed.

What the October edition tells us ahead of April 2027
The verified material supports a picture of a varied convention with strong screen-entertainment appeal and memorable reported encounters. It does not establish a new attendance record. General descriptions of crowds numbering tens of thousands should not be converted into an October 2026 headcount, and older attendance milestones should remain attached to their original editions.
The next Liverpool edition is confirmed for 24–25 April 2027. The venue's listing again promotes celebrity meetings, panels, cosplay, gaming, props, shopping and artwork. October's reported highlights suggest that the strongest foundation for that return is the relationship between performers and fans, supported by enough time and space for visitors to enjoy the encounters they have planned.
