As VivaTech celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2026, the event is extending far beyond the halls of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles and taking over one of the most iconic locations in the world: the Champs-Élysées. For a single day, on June 14, the famous avenue connecting the Place Charles-de-Gaulle and the Arc de Triomphe to the heart of Paris will become an open-air showcase of innovation, technology, sustainability, mobility, artificial intelligence, robotics, health, and culture. Designed as a free public experience under the banner Venez vivre le futur (Come Experience the Future), this unprecedented exhibition transforms a section of the Champs-Élysées into a living laboratory where visitors can interact directly with some of the most exciting technological developments shaping tomorrow. The concept perfectly reflects the evolution of VivaTech itself, which has grown from a startup-focused conference into one of Europe’s most influential technology events, attracting global corporations, entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, and innovators from around the world.
Stretching along a dedicated section of the avenue and organized around the giant letters forming the word VIVATECH, the exhibition has been carefully designed to guide visitors through a series of thematic worlds. Each letter represents a major societal challenge or opportunity, creating an immersive journey through the technologies expected to influence everyday life in the coming years. The themes include City & Mobility, Impact & Planet, Health & Well-being, Robots & Space, AI in Everyday Life, Jobs & Education, Agora discussions, and Culture, Sport & Entertainment. Rather than simply presenting products behind glass displays, the organizers have focused on interactive demonstrations and hands-on experiences, allowing the public to test, explore, and better understand the innovations on display.

One of the strongest sections of the exhibition is dedicated to urban transformation and mobility. Here, visitors discover how technology is helping cities become more efficient, sustainable, and enjoyable. VusionGroup presents VusionLive for Fresh, an AI-powered retail solution that combines image analysis, sensors, and mobile tools to optimize fresh-food management, reduce waste, and improve customer experiences. Urban Cuisine demonstrates how indoor agriculture is becoming increasingly accessible, with smart home gardens capable of producing fresh vegetables and herbs throughout the year. Nearby, SQ Motors showcases the Sternboard, an all-terrain electric skateboard designed for everything from urban commuting to mountain adventures, while BNP Paribas highlights the growing adoption of Wero, Europe’s real-time mobile payment platform. The presence of Roofscapes, which collaborates with the City of Paris to transform rooftops into green community spaces, serves as a reminder that innovation is not only about digital technology but also about reimagining how urban environments can better respond to climate challenges.
Environmental innovation plays a major role throughout the exhibition. The Impact & Planet zone explores how technology can help address some of the most pressing challenges facing society. La Poste offers an immersive virtual reality experience that places visitors in the middle of extreme weather events such as floods, heatwaves, and storms, encouraging reflection on climate adaptation strategies. Agua de Sol presents its SunAir Fountain, a remarkable system capable of generating drinking water using only solar energy, eliminating the need for plastic bottles and reducing environmental impact. Perhaps the most ambitious project on display is Climate Impulse, led by explorer Bertrand Piccard and eco-engineer Raphaël Dinelli. Their hydrogen-powered aircraft aims to complete the first nonstop round-the-world flight without emissions by 2029, demonstrating that technological innovation and environmental responsibility can progress together rather than in opposition.

Health and well-being receive equal attention through a fascinating blend of artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and human-centered design. Visitors can create personalized fragrances with the AI-powered Algorithmic Perfumery platform developed by EveryHuman, turning perfume creation into an interactive storytelling experience. HABS collaborates with NRJ to showcase Neuro-AI technology capable of analyzing emotional responses in real time, providing a glimpse into future audience engagement tools. Rokid presents advanced augmented reality glasses featuring real-time translation in more than 89 languages, integrated cameras, and AI-powered functionality. Additional exhibitors such as Wandercraft, Lattice Medical, Lili For Life, and Xpanceo demonstrate how innovation continues to transform healthcare, accessibility, rehabilitation, and personal well-being.
The Robots & Space section is likely to become one of the event’s biggest crowd-pullers. Companies including Blue Frog Robotics, German Bionic, Exotrail, Agibot, Unitree Robotics, and Sirius Space showcase how robotics and aerospace technologies are rapidly moving from science fiction into reality. The inclusion of robot performances on the central stage reinforces this futuristic atmosphere, offering visitors a rare opportunity to witness advanced robotic systems operating in a highly public environment rather than inside research laboratories. The exhibition also embraces the growing public fascination with space exploration through displays and demonstrations highlighting next-generation spacecraft, launch technologies, and human-machine collaboration.

Beyond the thematic zones, several spectacular satellite exhibits add an additional layer of excitement. Visitors can explore the space tourism ambitions of Zephalto, discover the modular autonomous transportation concepts developed by Next Modular Vehicles, and admire solar-powered mobility solutions inspired by the pioneering work of Lightyear. The event also features the innovative drone technologies of Apéleon, the hydrogen-powered developments of Midipile, and the futuristic aviation concepts of CycloTech. One of the most visually striking attractions is expected to be the high-altitude balloon technology presented by HyLight, which symbolizes how aerial innovation is expanding beyond traditional aviation and into entirely new forms of sustainable flight.
A dedicated central stage serves as the beating heart of the exhibition, bringing together technology demonstrations, educational discussions, and entertainment. Visitors can attend robot shows, participate in inspiring talks about the future, compete in AI-powered prompt creation challenges organized with Le Wagon, and enjoy a technology-themed musical blind test presented by Mukiz. The stage programming is hosted by well-known personalities including technology journalist PP Garcia, gaming presenter Kayane, and journalist Guillaume Cérin, ensuring a dynamic and accessible atmosphere throughout the day. This blend of education and entertainment reflects one of VivaTech’s core strengths: making complex technological subjects approachable and engaging for a broad audience.

What makes this initiative particularly significant is its symbolic location. Few places carry the international recognition of the Champs-Élysées, and transforming part of this historic avenue into an innovation showcase sends a powerful message about the role technology now plays in society. Instead of remaining confined to conference halls and industry insiders, innovation is brought directly into the public space, inviting curious families, tourists, students, entrepreneurs, and professionals to experience firsthand what tomorrow may look like. In many ways, the event captures the spirit that has defined VivaTech since its creation: connecting technological progress with real human experiences. By turning one of Paris’s most famous landmarks into a giant open-air exhibition, VivaTech 2026 demonstrates that the future is no longer something hidden in laboratories or startup incubators—it is increasingly becoming part of everyday life, visible, accessible, and ready to be explored by everyone
