On Friday January 24, 2025, Jean-François Copé, Mayor of Meaux and President of the Communauté d'agglomération du Pays de Meaux, presented his New Year's greetings during a warm and festive ceremony at the Colisée de Meaux, located at 73 avenue Henri Dunant. This annual event, eagerly awaited by many Meldois, provided an opportunity to look back on the achievements of the past year, while sharing perspectives and ambitions for 2025.

From 7pm, the doors of the Colisée opened to welcome the many participants, eager to share this moment in the company of the town's elected representatives. The people of Meldois were welcomed in optimal conditions, thanks to the meticulous organization put in place by the municipality. To facilitate access to the Colisée, free shuttles had been provided, serving several strategic points in the town. This arrangement, praised by local residents, enabled everyone, including those living in more remote areas, to enjoy the evening to the full. The ceremony officially kicked off at 8 p.m., bringing together a diverse audience of local citizens, associations and business representatives. The atmosphere was one of conviviality and sharing, in keeping with the spirit of these annual greetings.

Jean-François Copé opened the ceremony with a keynote speech, in which he reviewed the achievements of the year 2024, while outlining ambitious plans for Meaux and its agglomeration community in 2025. Among the priorities addressed were the strengthening of local infrastructures, economic development, as well as initiatives in favor of the ecological transition and the well-being of residents. The mayor also highlighted the municipality's efforts to preserve Meaux's cultural heritage, while modernizing public services to better meet citizens' expectations. He concluded his speech by calling for solidarity and collective commitment to make 2025 a prosperous and harmonious year for the town.

This year's Greetings from the Town was distinguished by a program with a musical theme. Attendees were treated to artistic and musical performances carefully selected for the occasion. These festive interludes gave rhythm to the evening and reinforced the convivial atmosphere that reigned in the hall. Music, a universal language, brought the audience together for a moment of celebration and exchange.

The annual “Greetings” ceremony, organized by the municipality, is a not-to-be-missed event for the people of Meldois. This symbolic event strengthens the bonds between elected representatives and the population, while embodying a moment of unity and collective reflection. Beyond the speeches and entertainment, it's a space where residents can express themselves and exchange views directly with their representatives.

Once again this year, the ceremony demonstrated the commitment of Jean-François Copé and his team to working for the well-being of the community. Participants praised the flawless organization and accessibility of the event, which enabled everyone to take part in this moment of sharing. The 2025 Greetings Ceremony was a success, both in organizational and human terms. It reflected the positive dynamic of the city of Meaux and the commitment of its elected representatives to building a promising future for their fellow citizens. The event was an opportunity to start the year on an optimistic and unifying note, illustrating the importance of the values of proximity and dialogue that drive local life.
