Convention - SDCC 2024 : A look on, the different booth of This Edition

San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2024 has once again proven why it's the must-attend event for pop culture enthusiasts around the world. This year's convention, held at the iconic San Diego Convention Center from July 24 to July 28, was a feast for the senses, with a dazzling array of booths showcasing the best in entertainment, comics, and collectibles. Here’s a comprehensive look at some of the standout booths from this year's edition.

Marvel's booth (#2329) was, as expected, one of the major highlights of SDCC 2024. This year, it featured an array of exhibits from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), with fans getting an exclusive look at costumes from highly anticipated films like Deadpool 3 and Wolverine. Attendees were treated to sneak peeks of upcoming MCU projects, including never-before-seen footage and concept art, which fueled excitement and speculation among fans. The booth also hosted several panels and autograph sessions with key MCU actors and creators, making it a central hub for superhero fans throughout the convention.

DC Comics' booth (#4545) was a showstopper, offering fans a glimpse into the future of the DC Universe. This year, DC unveiled a multilevel booth that featured iconic costumes, including Oz Cobb’s suit from The Penguin, as well as exclusive content related to upcoming series like Batman: Caped Crusader and Superman & Lois. The booth also highlighted DC’s expanding multiverse with panels and exclusive merchandise, including limited-edition variant covers and collectibles. Special appearances by DC’s top creative talents, along with popular AEW wrestlers, made this booth a lively and engaging experience for fans​ (Graphic Policy)​ (The Beat).

The Crunchyroll booth (#4135) was a paradise for anime fans, with immersive displays dedicated to some of the most popular series in its catalog. Fans could explore life-sized statues from Attack on Titan and One Piece, perfect for photos. Additionally, Crunchyroll premiered trailers for upcoming anime seasons, hosted panels with top voice actors, and offered exclusive merchandise that attracted long lines throughout the convention. This booth was a key destination for those eager to dive deep into the latest trends in anime​ (Graphic Policy).

Lucasfilm’s booth (#2913) once again transported fans to a galaxy far, far away. This year’s booth featured a life-size replica of the Mandalorian’s Razor Crest, which fans could explore, along with displays of iconic props and costumes from the Star Wars franchise. 

Image Comics (#1915) and Dark Horse Comics (#1216) continued to captivate comic book enthusiasts with their rich lineups. Image Comics focused on its expanding universe, offering exclusive previews of upcoming titles and hosting signings with some of the industry’s biggest names. Dark Horse Comics, meanwhile, showcased its popular franchises like The Umbrella Academy and Hellboy, offering exclusive graphic novels and variant covers that were a big hit among collectors. Both booths provided fans with a nostalgic yet forward-looking experience, celebrating the legacy and future of comic book storytelling​ 

Funko’s booth was a collector's dream, featuring a staggering array of Pop! figures, including SDCC-exclusive releases that quickly became the talk of the convention. The booth also allowed fans to create their own custom Funko figures, adding an interactive element that drew massive crowds each day. The energy and excitement surrounding Funko’s offerings made it a must-visit booth for anyone looking to take home a unique piece of SDCC 2024​.

The streaming giants made their presence felt in a big way. Paramount+ (#3529) focused on its expanding original content, with highlights including displays from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Meanwhile, 

SDCC 2024 was truly a celebration of pop culture in all its forms, with each booth offering something unique and memorable. Whether you were there for the blockbuster movie previews, the deep dives into comic book lore, or the latest in anime and streaming content, this year’s convention delivered an unforgettable experience that left fans eagerly anticipating what’s to come in 2025.
