Convention - Japan Expo 2024: The huge Nintendo stand and an exclusive pop-up

Japan Expo 2024, held from July 11 to 14 at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center, once again delighted fans of Japanese culture. The event was a veritable feast, showcasing both traditional and modern aspects of Japanese culture. Among the many booths and attractions, Nintendo's shone particularly brightly, attracting crowds of enthusiasts and curious onlookers alike.

The Nintendo stand, located in Hall 6, No. B686, impressed visitors with its size and innovative design. As soon as they entered, visitors were greeted by a multitude of game terminals where they could freely try out the latest Nintendo Switch titles. Among the games available, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD captivated thrill-seekers with its paranormal adventures where Luigi, armed with his Ectoblast 5000, had to track down mischievous ghosts and foil the plans of the terrible King Boo.

Another remastered classic, Paper Mario: The Millennium Gate, allowed players to rediscover the hilarious adventures of Mario and his friends in a world made of paper. This game, originally released on the Nintendo GameCube, has been completely redesigned for the Switch, offering a new generation of graphics and gameplay while retaining the charm and humor of the original game.

Visitors also had the chance to try out Princess Peach: Showtime! a game in which Princess Peach performs a fascinating show, playing various roles with an array of transformations and unique abilities to save the Spark Theatre. This new adventure was particularly appreciated for its colorful graphics and innovative gameplay mechanics.

For sports fans, Nintendo Switch Sports offered an immersive experience where players could take part in various sporting events using Joy-Cons to simulate real-life movements. This game was a great way to show off the Nintendo Switch's motion-sensing capabilities, making each game dynamic and engaging. The stand also featured Super Mario Bros. Wonder, a new 2D Mario adventure full of surprises. Visitors could explore new levels and expect the unexpected, with each game session offering new discoveries and challenges.

Splatoon 3 fans were treated to the new Tower of Order single-player experience, where they had to climb the floors of a mysterious tower filled with challenges and fearsome enemies. This game mode added a new dimension to the popular online shooter, putting players' strategic skills to the test.

In addition to the game demonstrations, the Nintendo stand organized several tournaments throughout the day. Competitions for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate attracted many participants, eager to show off their skills and win exclusive prizes. The competitive yet friendly atmosphere enhanced visitors' enjoyment, making every moment spent at the Nintendo stand a memorable one.


Another highlight of the stand was Nintendo's exclusive pop-up store, where fans could purchase unique merchandise usually reserved for Nintendo stores in Tokyo and Osaka. The pop-up store offered a wide range of products, from figurines to clothing and collectible accessories, enabling visitors to leave with exclusive souvenirs.

The stand also featured interactive activities such as a special Pikmin Bloom challenge. Participants had to walk 1000 steps to win exclusive rewards, a fun activity that encouraged visitors to stay active while having fun.

Nintendo's booth at Japan Expo 2024 was a complete success, offering a rich and varied experience to all its visitors. With its game demonstrations, exciting competitions and exclusive pop-up store, Nintendo captivated and delighted its public, consolidating its position as a leader in the world of video games. For all Nintendo fans, this edition of Japan Expo was an unforgettable moment, filled with discovery and pleasure.
