Festivals - The Champs-Elysées Film Festival starts next tuesday

While the UGC Normandie theater just closed its doors on the famous avenue, the Champs-Elysées Film Festival begins this Tuesday, June 18. For a week, festival-goers will be able to discover a panorama of the latest French and American independent productions, long, medium and short films. This festival programs a selection of daring and committed films in 5 theaters around the Champs-Elysées.  On weekdays, programming begins around 6 p.m. Some films have already passed through international festivals such as Cannes, Sundance, Locarno or Berlin. Every evening, an artist will be scheduled on the rooftop of the Publicis building.

There will also be 5 previews including the film “Les Reines” by Alexis Langlois, presented in Cannes, and 4 documentaries, “Château Rouge” by Hélène Limano,  “A beating heart” by the guest of honor Vincent Delerm, “Once upon a time Michel Legrand”.

The festival presents a theme entitled The Killer Women with a selection of short and feature films “where the possessed, the mothers, the bloodthirsty, the witches, the jealous, the lovers, the teenagers coexist”. Powerful female characters through cult and timeless films are to be (re)discovered.

The Champs-Elysées Film Festival ticket office is open with a pass system and purchase per session: 
at the single price of €8 per session
at the rate of €12 for previews, masterclasses, conversations and round tables
at the rate of €15 for the opening and closing ceremonies and films
