Maison de retraite, released in 2022, was an unexpected success, with over 2 million admissions. Two years later, The villa 2 promises to repeat the feat with an expanded cast and new twists and turns. Co-writer, producer and actor Kev Adams underlines the remarkable track record of the first film, highlighting exceptional DVD sales and the Audience Award won at the French Film Trophies.

Maison de retraite" explores the theme of EHPAD operations, highlighting the challenges and dysfunctions of these establishments. Kev Adams and his team have chosen to denounce the obsession of management to the detriment of residents' well-being, while integrating an almost "Ocean's Eleven"-style police plot in the film's final section.

The evening ended on a positive note, with the promise of a new cinematic adventure that is sure to entertain and make audiences think. The villa 2 was released in France on February 14, 2024, offering 102 minutes of laughter, suspense and reflection on contemporary society.
