Courteney Cox, the American actress who plays the character of Gale Weathers in the American franchise Scream now has her star on the famous Walk of Fame in Hollywood. She received the 2,750th star of the Walk of Fame. She has more than ever the wind in her sails, since we will find her on March 8 alongside Jenna Ortega and Hayden Panettiere in the sixth installment of the saga Scream, the biggest horror franchise in France, with more than 8.6 million tickets at the French box office and 730 million dollars at the global box office.

Courteney Cox is a renowned actor, producer and director. She gained international recognition as the neurotic yet loveable Monica Geller, on the Emmy Award winning comedy “Friends” which lasted 10 seasons. After Friends, Courteney segued into her Golden Globe® nominated role as Jules Cobb, a recently divorced mom in her forties facing the humorous challenges, pitfalls and rewards of life's next chapter in the comedy sitcom “Cougar Town.”  Cox also served as Executive Producer on the show. She will soon reprise her iconic role as Gale Weathers in Scream VI, the sixth installment in the cult classic franchise and will return to her critically acclaimed role as troubled novelist Patricia Phelps in the horror-comedy series Shining Vale, which is set to premiere its second season later this year.

The widely popular series received a 2021 Daytime Emmy Award nomination as well as a nomination for the first annual Critics' Choice Real TV Awards. In 2021, Courteney Cox joined her former Friends co-stars for the highly acclaimed, reunion special which received a Primetime Emmy® Award nomination for “Outstanding Variety Special.” In addition to Courteney’s remarkable career in entertainment, she recently launched the award-winning homecare line, Homecourt. Courteney is dedicated to her philanthropic work with organizations such as The Epider-molysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation and she is also a longtime supporter of The ALS Golden West Chapter.

The public's expectation is such that the unveiled trailer is simply one of the best trailer launches on Paramount Pictures France social pages with more than 1.5M organic views. The craze is even more important on the young audience, which showed up in numbers, especially on TikTok, with no less than 160 000 interactions with the trailer. Scream was the most discussed topic on Twitter, three days in a row.

Scream VI is an upcoming American slasher film directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick, with original franchise writer and creator Kevin Williamson returning as executive producer. It will be the sixth installment in the Scream film series and will be a direct sequel to Scream (2022). The film stars Courteney Cox, Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Mason Gooding, Hayden Panettiere and Jasmin Savoy Brown, who are all reprising their roles from previous installments. Dermot Mulroney, Henry Czerny, Samara Weaving and Tony Revolori were later added to the cast. 

After Ghostface's final murders, four survivors leave Woodsboro for a new chapter. In Scream VI, Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy Meeks-Martin), Mason Gooding (Chad Meeks-Martin), Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter), Hayden Panettiere (Kirby Reed) and Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers) reprise their roles in the franchise alongside Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra and Samara Weaving.

Filming began on June 9, 2022, in Montreal, Canada, with Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein and William Sherak acting as producers under Project X Entertainment, while Chad Villella, Cathy Konrad, Marianne Maddalena and Williamson will serve as executive producers. While in July 2022, the film was still untitled officially, production documents revealed the working title to be "Blackmore", while set photos showed Scream !! as a working title.Hayden Panettiere posed for a set photo on August 6, along with Jasmin Savoy Brown, that was picked up by various media outlets given her return to the franchise. Courteney Cox revealed she had finished filming her part as of August 14. Filming ended in late August.
