Disney+ - Oussekine : Our return on the Paris Premiere at the Grand Rex

By Mulder, Paris, Le Grand Rex, 09 may 2022

The original French mini-series created and directed by Antoine Chevrollier, Oussekine will be available in its entirety on Disney+ on May 11 in France and simultaneously in all countries where Star World is present, on Star+ in Latin America and on Hulu in the United States.

Our media was present this evening at the Premiere of the new Disney + Oussekine series organized at the Grand Rex cinema. The team of this series was present and in particular its director Antoine Chevrollier to present this one.

Third original French production offered exclusively to Disney+ subscribers, "Oussekine" is a fiction in 4 episodes of 60 minutes inspired by real facts. It looks back at the tragedy of the night of December 5-6, 1986 and the dramatic consequences that the death of Malik Oussekine (Sayyid El Alami) had on his family: his mother Aïcha (Hiam Abbass), his brothers Ben Amar (Malek Lamraoui) and Mohamed (Tewfik Jallab) - surrogate father of the siblings since the death of their father Miloud (Slimane Dazi); his sisters Fatna (Naidra Ayadi) but also Sarah (Mouna Soualem) who will sacrifice everything to see justice done. Focusing on her family's fight for justice, the series plunges into the heart of the 1980s to understand the impact that this tragedy had on French society at the time.

Kad Merad plays Georges Kiejman, the family's lawyer; Olivier Gourmet plays Robert Pandraud, the Minister of Security at the time, and Laurent Stocker of the Comédie-Française plays Mr. Kiejman's lawyer partner, Mr. Dartevelle. Thierry Godard, Gilles Cohen, Mathieu Demy, Matthieu Lucci, Richard Sammut, Louis Berthélémy, Vincent Colombe and Bastien Bouillon complete the cast.

The Oussekine series will be available only in the Star world and for profiles 16+. The reinforced parental controls implemented by Disney+ last spring ensure an age-appropriate viewing experience, restricting access to certain content and allowing the creation of profiles locked by a PIN code. This is an appropriate way to secure viewing for the youngest members of the family without affecting the enjoyment of their elders.
