
Eiffel is a French film directed by Martin Bourboulon, scheduled for release on February 17, 2021. It tells the love story between the engineer Gustave Eiffel and a young woman named Adrienne Bourgès, during which the idea of creating the Eiffel Tower will emerge. With a budget of 23.4 million euros, Eiffel is the biggest French production of the year 20205. In an interview given on June 26, 2020, production director François Hamel, indicated that an additional budget of 300,000 euros was necessary to cover the extra days of preparation as well as expenses related to health regulations following the Covid-19 Pandemic. The shooting of this film Eiffel, starring Romain Duris, Emma Mackey and Pierre Deladonchamps, has just finished today.
Synopsis :
Having just completed his collaboration on the Statue of Liberty, Gustave Eiffel is at the peak of his career. The French government wants him to create something spectacular for the 1889 Universal Exhibition in Paris, but Eiffel is only interested in the metropolitan project. Everything changes when he meets his youthful love. Their forbidden relationship inspired him to change the Paris skyline forever.
