The Predator is an upcoming American science fiction action horror film directed by Shane Black and written by Black and Fred Dekker. The film stars Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Sterling K. Brown, Jacob Tremblay, Yvonne Strahovski, Alfie Allen, and Thomas Jane. It completed filming in June 2017, and is set to be released on September 14, 2018 by 20th Century Fox in IMAX as well as standard formats. It is the fourth installment in the Predator film series, set to take place between Predator 2 (1990) and Predators (2010).

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black's explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe's most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
