Musique de film - Logan : une musique envoutante pour illustrer une adaptation reussie de Wolverine

Nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir découvrir l’album de la musique du film Logan composé par Marco Beltrami dans son intégralité. Sa sortie est annoncée pour le 10 mars prochain aux éditions Lakeshore Records.. Cet album contiendra vingt -cinq pistes :

On retrouve ainsi une nouvelle fois après Wolverine : le combat de l’immortel (2013) la musique de Marco Beltrami pour illustrer parfaitement l’ambiance voulue par le réalisateur. James Mangold avait déjà travaillé avec Marco Beltrami sur le film 3h10 Yuma. Leur collaboration fructueuse permet ici d’obtenir une partition très sombre pour illustrer parfaitement le caractère du personnage de Wolverine. Dès les premières notes de la première piste, la volonté est de créer une véritable ambiance ténébreuse reflétant le milieu dans lequel cette dernière aventure de Wolverine campée par Hugh Jackman évolue.

Nominé à plusieurs reprises Marc Beltrami met ainsi une nouvelle fois en musique un film de la saga X-men. Le film sortira au ciné en France le 1er mars et aux Etats-Unis le 03 mars. Logan est le troisième film de James Mangold mettant en scène ce personnage culte. Le film est inspiré de l’arc Old Man Logan créé par Mark Millar et Steve McNiven. L’action se situe dans un futur post-apocalyptique dans lequel la plupart des mutants sont morts.  Les vingt-cinq pistes proposées donnent aux films toute sa prestance et un véritable cachet de western futuriste. Il est d’autant plus intéressant d’entendre à travers cette musique une véritable cohésion entre un réalisateur et son compositeur. Logan s’impose ainsi comme l’une des meilleures musiques de film entendues en ce début d’année

“Academy Award® nominated composer Marco Beltrami scores the upcoming tenth installment in the X-Men film series, Logan, which opens in theaters March 3, 2017. Directed by James Mangold and starring Hugh Jackman, this is the third and final Wolverine solo film following X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and The Wolverine (2013). This installment takes inspiration from ‘Old Man Logan,’ a comic book by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven, which follows a past-his-prime Logan undertaking a final adventure in the post-apocalyptic future. Logan is the next installment in the highly successful X-Men series, and is intended to be Hugh Jackman’s final portrayal of the Wolverine character after having played the role for 17 years. The X-Men franchise currently has a combined global box-office gross of over 4.3 billion dollars. Logan marks the third collaboration of Beltrami with Mangold. Beltrami’s musical palette has since expanded to virtually all film genres. He has received two Oscar nominations for Best Original Score, for The Hurt Locker and 3:10 to Yuma. He has received two Critic’s Choice Award nominations, and he was Emmy nominated for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series for The Practice. Synopsis:
Dans un futur proche, un certain Logan, épuisé de fatigue, s’occupe d’un Professeur X souffrant, dans un lieu gardé secret à la frontière Mexicaine. Mais les tentatives de Logan pour se retrancher du monde et rompre avec son passé vont s’épuiser lorsqu’une jeune mutante traquée par de sombres individus va se retrouver soudainement face à lui.
