Mulder's Review

Olivia Rodrigo: Driving home 2 U (A Sour film) will be available worldwide tomorrow on Disney+ and provides a deeper understanding of the global phenomenon that is multi-Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo. Many music documentaries have allowed fans to learn more about their favorite artists, and Olivia Rodrigo: Driving home 2 U (A Sour film) is certainly an invitation you can't refuse.

Taking the form of a road trip from Salt Lake City, Utah (the city where Olivia Rodrigo began composing the Sour album) to the sprawling city of Los Angeles, California, Olivia Rodrigo: Driving home 2 U (A Sour film) proves to be an exciting film with many songs filmed with true inventiveness and making the most of original locations.

Olivia Rodrigo has been passionate about songs since childhood and is a complete artist. She writes her own music, plays several musical instruments and knows perfectly how to put herself forward by using her clear and strong voice. In this documentary, we learn more about her writing memories and the creation of her first album, which has since sold over three million copies. With new arrangements for her concert series, intimate interviews, and never-before-seen footage from the recording sessions, Olivia Rodrigo reveals more than ever before in a visually spectacular journey into the genesis of her debut album.

The documentary was shot in some of the most unique locations in the world, from the airplane graveyard at the Mojave Airport to the Red Rock Canyon National Preserve. Olivia Rodrigo reveals herself completely and shows how her personal life has influenced her writing and her music. In this documentary, she performs her entire album live and features guests such as Jacob Collier, Blu DeTiger and Towa Bird. Olivia Rodrigo: Driving home 2 U (A Sour film) shows how Olivia Rodrigo drew on her own experiences to create this album, with intimate footage that highlights her artistic talent both in the studio and in her everyday life.

Olivia Rodrigo: Driving home 2 U (A Sour film) is never about impressing viewers, but rather about showing the fragility and strength of life that is so representative of this emerging artist. Listening to Olivia Rodrigo, one thinks of artists such as Taylor Swift and Alanis Morissette. The music holds an important place here because it represents an important means of communication and especially a land of exploration for this young and great artist of whom we are fans since her single Drivers License released in January 2021.

After discovering this excellent musical documentary, we can already bet that you will listen to the album Sour over and over again, as some of the songs have a real emotional strength. The luckiest ones have already been able to get a ticket for her concert that promises to be memorable at the Zenith in Paris on June 21, 2022.
