March 29, 2026 will mark one of the most ambitious turning points in the history of Disneyland® Paris with the official opening of The World of Frozen, the cornerstone of the monumental transformation of the second park, now reimagined as Disney Adventure World. Never before has an animated universe been rendered with such precision, depth, and credibility, and it is as if the entire kingdom of Arendelle has literally materialized at the gates of Paris. Walt Disney Imagineering wanted to take immersion far beyond the usual exercise of reproducing iconic settings: here, every cobblestone in the village, every note of music played in the background, every hand-painted rosemaling has been designed to make visitors feel, for a moment, that they are living in the heart of the saga. According to Michel den Dulk, Vice President and Portfolio Executive Creative Director, Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, "The World of the Snow Queen doesn't just draw inspiration from the film; it truly brings the Kingdom of Arendelle to life." And when you see the scale of the installations, the rise of the majestic North Mountain, or the first nighttime view of Arendelle Bay, it becomes clear that the intention is not just to show visitors a set, but to offer a place that the public can inhabit, feel, and re-experience with each visit.

The architectural work on this new world is one of the most impressive ever undertaken at Disneyland® Paris. Towering 36 meters above the landscape, the North Mountain stands out against the sky as a true narrative landmark around which Arendelle comes to life. Elsa's Ice Palace, perched at its summit, sparkles under different lighting effects and transforms the attraction into a living tableau that changes throughout the day. At the foot of the mountain, the village stretches out, rich in detail, with sculpted Nordic facades, snow-covered roofs, a central square lined with colorful buildings, sparkling water features, and floral decorations inspired by traditional Scandinavian art. Arendelle Castle, produced in collaboration with UK company UK Loco, offers a delicate blend of floral motifs, carved moldings, and icy textures that complete the illusion of a magnificent, living, ancient kingdom. As they stroll along paths lined with crocuses, birch trees, and conifers, visitors are instantly transported back to the atmosphere of the films, while the reorchestrated soundtrack of iconic songs envelops every corner of the village.

At the heart of the village, the kingdom's first attraction, Frozen Ever After, will offer a scenic cruise for the whole family, where young and old alike will meet Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and their companions. Upon entering the Clock Tower, visitors are invited to board traditional boats to travel through signature scenes from the universe, with a promise: modernized technology, expressive Audio-Animatronics®, and attention to detail that will recall the excellence of the work accomplished at EPCOT, while offering new scenes unique to the Parisian version. But the experience doesn't stop there: the public will also be able to meet Queens Anna and Elsa during a real Royal Encounter in the Castle's Portrait Gallery, a space whose artistic finishes were refined right up until the last few weeks before the opening. This immersive encounter, designed to be an intimate and precious moment, will undoubtedly become one of the most memorable experiences for visitors.

Arendelle Bay will become the daily setting for a spectacular show called Celebration in Arendelle, performed several times a day. Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and the villagers will board three impressive longships designed with the expertise of French shipbuilder Couach Construction Navale, while the boats' decoration was carried out by artisans from Prelud near Dijon, continuing a tradition of French craftsmanship in an international project. The fast-paced show invites the audience to sing along to iconic songs from the saga such as “Let It Go” and “I'm Looking for You,” accompanied by new compositions created especially for Disneyland® Paris by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the multi-award-winning composers who have made their mark on Disney's musical history. This is where the story takes on a particularly unique dimension at the Paris park: the show is completely exclusive, the songs are original, and the whole thing is accompanied by large-scale staging rarely seen in a Disney themed area.

The village streets will also be enlivened by impromptu encounters with characters such as Oaken, faithful to his jovial “Hoo-Hoo!”, or Mossie, an irresistibly curious baby troll. But one of the biggest revelations at the November 24, 2025 press conference was the presentation of Olaf's new advanced robot, introduced by Bruce Vaughn, President of Walt Disney Imagineering. Developed by Walt Disney Imagineering Research & Development in collaboration with Disney Live Entertainment and Walt Disney Animation Studios, this animatronic version pushes the boundaries of movement, facial expressiveness, and live interaction with visitors and characters. This robot, which will appear in the Arendelle Bay show, marks a new step in Disney's quest to bring cinema and reality even closer together, and will also make a temporary appearance at World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. The creation of this robotic character is detailed in an episode of We Call It Imagineering available on YouTube, offering a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at this innovation.

On the culinary side, Arendelle is enriched by the Nordic Crowns Tavern restaurant, a quick-service establishment decorated as a tribute to the history of the kingdom and its royal family, with its portrait galleries and warm atmosphere. The menu is inspired by Nordic cuisine and features a customizable formula, offering 16 food combinations with vegetable or potato bases, proteins such as grilled salmon or Nordic meatballs, seasonal vegetables, and two signature sauces—tangy cranberry or creamy dill. The restaurant, which is vegan and gluten-free friendly, will also serve ice cream desserts, sorbets, Scandinavian pastries, and themed creations such as the snowflake dessert. This gastronomic diversification shows how Disneyland® Paris continues to develop a more refined cuisine that is consistent and tailored to an international clientele.

Visitors wishing to take a piece of Arendelle home with them will be delighted by the Arendelle Boutique, the village's main store offering not only the classic merchandise from the saga but also a line of handcrafted items inspired by traditional Nordic arts. Wooden sculptures, decorated textiles, finely painted rosemaling, and themed clothing will allow everyone to extend the experience beyond the park. For its part, the Fjord View Shop will introduce Rúna, an interactive baby troll with sophisticated animations (blinking eyes, movable ears, internal lighting) and the ability to interact with elements of the village and characters. A small meeting ceremony will precede the adoption of the toy, reinforcing the idea of a personalized and memorable experience.

Beyond Arendelle, Disney Adventure World will be organized around the monumental Adventure Bay lake, a three-hectare space that will serve as the beating heart of the park and will eventually host a spectacular nighttime show. The lake's surroundings will be bustling all day long with character encounters and a Victorian pavilion where guests can meet Mickey and Minnie in their new costumes specially designed by Cast Members from the Costuming department. Adventure Way will serve as the backbone of the park, connecting World Premiere Plaza to the three major immersive worlds: Marvel Avengers Campus, Worlds of Pixar, and Frozen. This grand avenue will feature themed gardens, 14 unique dining experiences, a new family attraction dedicated to Rapunzel—Rapunzel Tangled Spin, with exclusive recordings by Mandy Moore, the original voice of Rapunzel—as well as The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, the official meeting place with several Disney Princesses in an elegant and flower-filled setting. Nearby, The Regal View Lounge will become the first bar ever to open in one of the Disneyland® Paris parks, combining a royal atmosphere, paintings inspired by Disney characters, and breathtaking views of the bay.

The promenade will also offer a variety of cuisine, including generous bread bowls, revisited hot dogs, cinnamon rolls, brioche rolls, and creations inspired by Disney Princesses. The poetic gardens will pay tribute to numerous Disney, Pixar, and British works, from Winnie the Pooh to Peter Pan, and will host seasonal events such as Rapunzel and Flynn's Musical Encounter and Miguel's Latin Party. The Disney Fanfare, led by Minnie Mouse and her twelve musicians, will provide a lively parade on Adventure Way, enhancing the festive atmosphere of the park, while an original soundtrack of over 40 minutes recorded at Abbey Road Studios will accompany visitors from the moment they enter.

The future of the park looks just as rich, staying true to Walt Disney's philosophy that Disneyland would never be finished. An attraction inspired by the Pixar film Up will join Adventure Way in a second phase, while the first immersive world dedicated to The Lion King will open in the following years, with a major attraction combining aquatic thrills and cutting-edge Audio-Animatronics® technology.

With the opening of Frozen, Disneyland® Paris is entering a new era, one in which the park no longer simply reinterprets the Disney universe, but brings it to life like never before. This life-size recreation of the kingdom of Arendelle, enriched with technological innovations, meticulous craftsmanship, themed cuisine, and exclusive shows, could well become the new emblem of Disney Adventure World. And if the future holds true to this first step, visitors are only at the beginning of a magical journey that promises to transform the Paris resort.
