Convention - PGW 2025: The Game France Pavilion will celebrate the excellence of French-made video games

By Mulder, 17 october 2025

Once again this year, Paris Games Week promises to be an unmissable event for video game enthusiasts, but the 2025 edition is taking it to the next level with the Game France Pavilion, a space of nearly 600 m² entirely dedicated to French creation. From October 30 to November 2, this space, supported by the National Center for Cinema and the Moving Image (CNC), in partnership with the National Video Game Union (SNJV) and the Union of Leisure Software Publishers (SELL), will symbolize the vitality and diversity of video games “made in France.” The Game France brand, operated by the CNC, aims to unite and promote the French industry both domestically and internationally. Two years after its creation, it has already established itself as a benchmark for players in the sector, taking over from the famous “Jeux Made in France” stand, which for years embodied French creativity at Paris Games Week.

This year, the Game France Pavilion will not only showcase the best French productions of the moment, but will also offer a true artistic and emotional immersion through a unique exhibition entitled “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – The Exhibition.” Inspired by the phenomenal game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, developed by Montpellier-based studio Sandfall Interactive, this installation will offer the public a fascinating glimpse into the visual and conceptual universe of the title, already considered a narrative and aesthetic masterpiece. Visitors will be able to discover exclusive artwork and visuals retracing the genesis of this project, which has become a global success, confirming the rise of the French video game scene on the international stage.

The Game France Pavilion will also showcase an impressive selection of games available to play in a world premiere, demonstrating the richness and diversity of French creativity. Among them, Shinobi Art of Vengeance by LizardCube, Windblown by Motion Twin, Dark Hours by Piece of Cake Studios, and Endless Legends 2 by Amplitude promise to appeal to strategy fans as well as action and adventure enthusiasts. Also featured will be MIO (Douze Dixiemes/Focus Entertainment), Tides of Tomorrow (Digixart), The Rogue Prince of Persia (Evil Empire/Ubisoft), and several creations supported by Arte, such as The Merlies, Looking for Fael, A Better World, Gloomy Eyes, Tom the Post Girl, and Riff Mountain, which demonstrate the growing link between art, storytelling, and technological innovation.

Visitors will also be able to explore new releases from the most dynamic French publishers, such as Skytale with The Last Artifact, and Microids with a particularly varied range including Kaku - Ancient Seal, Double Dragon Revive, Shredders, Rooftop & Alley - The Parkour Game, Astérix & Obelix - Mission Babylone, and Space Adventure Cobra - The Awakening. Gamearly's productions, including several studios featured this year, such as Wild Sheep Studio (Adorable Adventures), Oneiric Tales (Childwood), LJF Games (Kritter: Defend Together), Gentle Beasts (Xion Leak), Coven (Micromega), Out of Time (AI.VI), Sol Brothers (Maseylia: Echoes of the Past), Freya Games (Red Nose Guy: Gauntlet Inc. The Burnout), Big Loot Games (Starbug Troopers: The 4 Horseflies of the Apocalypse), and Mad Studio Games (Endseeker), will confirm the exceptional momentum of the French independent ecosystem. Added to this will be promising titles such as Mixcity Swap (Atypique Studio), Oban (Oxxymore Interactive), A Planet of Mine MasterMine Edition (Tuesday Quest), Bloomkeeper (Resonance Interactive), Heidi’s Legacy (Humble Reeds), Pirates Tactical (Alambik Studio) and Raging Bill (Art Punk Studio), all illustrating the boldness and creativity of a rising generation of developers.

Beyond demonstrations and interactive experiences, the Game France Pavilion also aims to be a place for discussion and reflection. A conference stage will be set up in the center of the space, hosting four days of presentations open to both professionals and the general public. Speakers will include renowned creators, as well as institutions such as the CNC, the European Commission, the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BNF), Business France, and the CNM-ENJMIN, a leading school for video game professions. These conferences will cover a variety of topics ranging from creativity to training, innovation, and social and environmental responsibility.

The Pavilion will also highlight committed associations working to make the sector more inclusive and responsible, such as Women in Games France and Afrogameuses, which promote diversity and the representation of women and minorities in the industry, and Game Only – Jyros, which is focused on environmental issues. Organizations such as Unaf – PédagoJeux and Respect Zone will address issues related to the protection of minors and responsible online behavior. This social commitment reinforces the mission of the Game France Pavilion: to make video games a vehicle for culture, progress, and dialogue between generations.

In short, the presence of the Pavillon Game France at Paris Games Week 2025 is more than just a gathering of studios: it is a statement of cultural identity, a showcase of French talent, and an invitation to explore the richness of world-renowned expertise. With innovations, previews, collective reflection, and artistic openness, the 2025 edition promises to be a celebration of video games in all their glory—an event where passion, creativity, and ambition come together to write the future of “made in France” video games.
