The year 2025 marks a major turning point in the history of Parc Astérix, not only because it builds on the solid foundations laid by its 2024 jubilee—a spectacular anniversary year crowned by record attendance of 2,842,000 visitors—but also because it is boldly asserting its ambition to become a European leader in immersive family entertainment. From the moment the season opens, everything points to the Park being more vibrant, innovative, daring, and attractive than ever before. The Gallic recipe, a clever blend of humor, adventure, heritage, and technology, continues to strike a chord, with a positioning that perfectly combines cultural heritage and modern emotions. In 213 days of opening, dozens of shows, 50 attractions, 36 restaurants, 450 permanent employees, 2,500 seasonal workers and more than 200 professions bring to life a universe as dense as it is enriching, where the comic strip created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo continues to shine spectacularly.

At the heart of this excitement, the star attraction of 2025 is none other than Cétautomatix, a European first in more ways than one. Designed as Europe's first family spinning roller coaster, this new experience is located in the park's Gallic area, which has been expanded for the occasion. Accessible from a height of one meter, it offers a 420-meter ride with speeds of up to 45 km/h, a height of 14 meters, and vehicles that can accommodate four passengers facing each other. Eight propelled cars spin at high speed in a bustling garage setting, combining craftsmanship, humor, and surprises. The world of Cétautomatix, the famous irascible village blacksmith, lends itself perfectly to this technical and fun adventure, which renews the park's approach of offering thrills while respecting family constraints. It is no coincidence that this attraction, which symbolizes the park's commitment to innovation, accessibility, and immersive storytelling, is expected to be the highlight of the 2025 season.

And this is just the beginning. Parc Astérix offers a wide range of carefully designed attractions for all audiences and all ages. In 2024, the musical C'est du Délire! already set new standards in the park's artistic programming. With 25 minutes of live entertainment featuring 11 singer-actors, 26 mobile set pieces and 120 custom-made costumes, this original production, performed entirely in French, proves that the park is also a venue for popular culture, capable of staging high-quality shows combining rock, rap and Gallic humor. The Théâtre de Panoramix (600 seats) has established itself as an essential venue in the park, where visitors can enjoy a musical adventure led by two new heroes, Groupidupianix and Sérotonine, in search of recognition and druidic magic. In addition, there are action shows such as Main Basse sur la Joconde, with its 1,500 m² covered stage, 2,000 seats, motorcycle stunts, and outdoor explosions, and Les Plongeons de l'Olympe, in the 2,800-seat amphitheater of the Théâtre de Poséidon, where the best divers from Gaul and Rome compete on a 25-meter tower.

The park has plenty to offer younger visitors too. The Forest of Idéfix, with attractions designed for children aged 2 and over, such as Aérodynamix and Hydrolix, is a haven of fun and adventure. The park has thought of every detail: 60,000 meals are served at the Restaurant du Lac, 170 tons of French fries are devoured, 4 tons of wild boar are cooked, and the park has a 96% satisfaction rate according to a Keolia survey. The focus on quality is also evident in the catering, with 36 outlets spread across restaurants, kiosks, sandwich bars, and increasingly themed and high-quality concepts such as Le Dolmen Gourmand and P'Oz Kebab. The new addition for 2025 in this area is Les Fastes du Nil, an Egyptian fast food restaurant that combines antique décor, burgers with a merguez twist, orange blossom-scented wraps, and pistachio desserts served in a bright and immersive setting.

The experience continues in the park's hotels, which now have a capacity of 450 rooms spread across three themed establishments: Les Trois Hiboux, La Cité Suspendue, and Les Quais de Lutèce. The latter, voted the world's best themed hotel in 2020 by the TEA, impresses with its historical authenticity and modern comfort. With their footbridges, forest hamlets and reconstructed banks of the Seine, these hotels offer much more than just a bed: they offer total immersion in the world of Asterix, starting at $67.20 per person with privileged access to the attractions. Particular attention is paid to the environment: solar panels, parquet flooring from sustainable forests, water consumption reduction systems, the Green Key label, and responsible energy management with the aim of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030. Electricity is already 100% renewable, and photovoltaic canopies are being installed to generate 7.1 GWh per year, with 370 charging stations planned for electric vehicles.

Parc Astérix also offers unbeatable seasonal attractions. Peur sur le Parc (Fear in the Park), which will return from October 4 to November 11, 2025, with 11 nighttime shows, will feature 300 artists, 14 tons of pumpkins, 3,000 corn stalks, several haunted houses including Les Enfers de Pompéi (The Hells of Pompeii), The Tomb of the Gods and The Catacombs, not to mention a horror buffet, a speakeasy bar and the Monster Parade. When winter arrives, Christmas Gaul will transform the park into a kingdom of light with the Gaul Christmas Parade, Obelix's Slide, The Island of Wishes, and Who Wants to Kill Santa Claus?, an unforgettable ice show. Throughout the year, there are numerous spectacular events, strengthening visitor loyalty and enriching the experience.

Behind this playful war machine lies a remarkable human dimension. Parc Astérix stands out as a socially responsible and supportive organization, employing 2,500 seasonal workers each year, offering a comprehensive work-study program, providing certified training in partnership with France Travail, implementing an exemplary inclusion policy, and supporting charitable causes through Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque and the Petits Princes association. The park actively supports local employment and short supply chains by sourcing from regional producers and reducing food waste through composting and donations.

In conclusion, 2025 promises to be a landmark year for Parc Astérix, at the crossroads of mass entertainment, popular culture, technical innovation, and environmental responsibility. Often described as a “small village of resistance” in the highly competitive landscape of European parks, Parc Astérix is proving that it can compete with the biggest names while maintaining a strong identity rooted in the collective imagination. With Cétautomatix, an explosive artistic program, unparalleled themed seasons, an ambitious environmental policy, and high-level hospitality, Parc Astérix is no longer content to entertain: it amazes, inspires, and above all, proves that the Gallic spirit still has a bright future ahead of it.
