Paramount+ is set to bring back The Lodge to San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) for the second consecutive year, promising an even more exciting fan experience. Located at the Gaslamp’s Happy Does (340 Fifth Ave, San Diego, CA 92101), The Lodge will be open to the public with a reservation from July 24 to July 28, featuring extended hours to accommodate the influx of fans. This year’s lineup is packed with immersive activations from some of Paramount+’s most popular franchises, including Star Trek, SpongeBob SquarePants, Criminal Minds: Evolution, and more. Each activation is designed to provide a unique and interactive experience, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
Fans of Star Trek are in for a treat as they can step aboard a Star Trek starship to customize their very own Starfleet swag. Using a replicator and touch-screen tablets, visitors can design t-shirts featuring insignia from the Star Trek franchise, making for a truly personalized piece of merchandise. This exclusive experience allows fans to take home unique customized merch that showcases their love for the iconic series.
Inspired by the CBS Original Ghosts, The Lodge will feature Woodstone Manor’s Olfactory Atelier. Guests can step into an enchanting ambiance reminiscent of ‘The Livings’ living room workshop, filled with Easter eggs from the show. Essence Chemists will entice visitors to explore a range of specialized perfumes, each paying homage to the ghosts in the series. Fans will leave with a chosen scent, allowing them to carry a piece of the Manor’s mystique with them throughout SDCC and beyond.
For fans of Criminal Minds: Evolution, The Lodge will have an in-world office inspired by the series’ Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU). The office will be filled with a chaotic spread of evidence, paperwork, and unpredictable clues. Visitors can dive into their own investigative work to help BAU agents connect the dots and solve an ongoing case. This immersive experience offers a thrilling glimpse into the world of criminal profiling and detective work.
The whimsical world of IF will come to life with a cozy ferris wheel photo op. The inviting Luna Park marquee, complete with carnival lights, will set the stage for guests to line up and ride the ferris wheel. While in the queue, fans can play a game of hopscotch before getting onstage with a magical button that brings the Memory Lane Retirement Community Register to life. This feature will auto-pair guests with their very own IF companion for a memorable photo opportunity.
The love story between pizza and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be celebrated at the Turtle Power Pizza parlor. The parlor will be decked out with illustrated stylings to welcome guests into the world of the new series, Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. SDCC-goers will be able to fuel up for their next adventure with a slice of pizza accompanied by beverages inspired by the colors of the four Turtles, making it a perfect spot for fans of all ages to enjoy.
Marking the 25th anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants, Nickelodeon and Paramount+ invite fans to immerse themselves in Bikini Bottom’s Jellyfish Fields. Guests can partake in jellyspotting throughout the day, catching jellyfish using Ol’ Reliable, SpongeBob’s most trusted jellyfish net. Upon entry, special jellyspotting gear will be handed out, allowing fans to see the world through a joyous sponge-colored lens. This activation promises to be a fun and interactive experience for all SpongeBob enthusiasts.
The Lodge’s tattoo parlor will expand on last year’s INK MASTER-themed space, offering guests the chance to get temporary airbrush tattoos inspired by Paramount+ shows and films. The high-brow modern meets edgy design of the parlor allows fans to step into the world of INK MASTER and walk away with a piece of body art that reflects their favorite series.
The Happy Does indoor bar will be transformed into a themed saloon from TULSA KING. With props, graphics, neon lights, and exciting Season 2 references, fans can enjoy themed drinks and participate in games that transport them into the world of CBS Sports. Activities such as the hook and ring toss and a UEFA Champions League soccer ball kicking challenge will add to the lively atmosphere of the BRED2BUCK Saloon, making it a must-visit spot for SDCC attendees.
Guests visiting The Lodge will receive a Lodge Ski Pass sponsored by Walmart+. On the back of each pass, there will be an exclusive offer for a 3-month Walmart+ subscription, along with other surprise rewards. This added incentive ensures that visitors have a memorable experience while enjoying the various activations at The Lodge.
The Lodge does not require an SDCC badge for entry, making it accessible to all fans. This year’s activations promise to double the excitement and fun, offering memorable experiences and exclusive swag for attendees.
