By Mulder, 12 april 2024

"We are in the process of evolving the narrative arc of Walt Disney Studios Park. Until now, visitors had the opportunity to go behind the scenes of film shoots. Now, they'll be invited to celebrate the great Disney franchises and embark on an adventure in immersive worlds. These larger-than-life worlds will become the centerpiece of the park's new identity. As they progress through the park, visitors will be invited to explore these new worlds and fully participate in adventures straight out of our most popular stories" - Tom Fitzgerald, Senior Creative Executive for Disneyland Paris and Chief Storytelling Executive at Walt Disney Imagineering.

Disneyland Paris has announced the next steps in its ambitious transformation, marking a revolution in the visitor experience. As the park prepares to celebrate its 32nd anniversary, it is reinventing itself with a series of renovations and additions that promise to amaze young and old alike.

The highlight of this transformation is the introduction of an all-new themed zone dedicated to The Snow Queen, Disney's blockbuster that has captivated millions of spectators worldwide. Entitled The Snow Queen: A Musical Invitation, this expansion to Walt Disney Studios Park will offer an immersive plunge into the snowy world of Arendelle. Visitors will be able to explore Elsa's ice palace and take part in an interactive musical adventure where they will meet their favorite characters such as Anna, Elsa, Olaf and Kristoff, reliving the film's key moments.

"To continue this transformation, allowing us to reimagine more than 90% of Walt Disney Studios Park since it opened in 2002, we're thrilled to unveil a new creative vision that will give our second park a whole new look. Visitors will enjoy an unprecedented experience that celebrates the magic and emotion of our greatest franchises by immersing them in new, larger-than-life worlds. This creative evolution has led us to rename the park, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Disneyland Paris. The name change will apply from the opening of the Snow Queen-inspired land, World of Frozen, representing a symbolic renewal for this exciting new era. By pushing the boundaries of immersion and innovation, we will bring to life spectacular experiences at Disney Adventure World that will make our guests dream more than ever. These immersive worlds promise unique adventures for our guests, perfectly complementing the Disneyland Park experience" - Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris.

The zone will feature a main attraction where visitors will be invited to sing along to hits such as Let It Go and Do You Want to Build a Snowman? in a spectacularly recreated setting. The experience will be completed by themed stores and restaurants, enhancing immersion in this fairytale universe.

At the same time, the Disneyland Hotel, the flagship of accommodation at Disneyland Paris, will undergo a complete transformation to become the symbol of luxury hospitality à la mode Disney. Each room and suite will be redecorated to reflect the charm and magic of Disney classics such as Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King. The renovation project aims not only to enhance the hotel's aesthetics and comfort, but also to integrate state-of-the-art technologies for a personalized, modern guest experience.

Disneyland Paris will incorporate significant technological advances to optimize visitor flow management and enhance the overall experience in the parks. New mobile functionalities will be deployed, enabling visitors to better plan their visit, book attractions, shows and restaurants, all from their smartphone.

With an investment of several billion euros, Disneyland Paris is strengthening its position as one of Europe's leading tourist destinations. Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris, emphasized the importance of this project: "These innovations are the cornerstone of our strategy to enrich our visitors' experience and ensure our continued success in the tourism industry.

This ambitious project will benefit not only Disneyland Paris but also the local economy, creating thousands of jobs during the construction phase and increasing the number of annual visitors. In the long term, these transformations will consolidate Disneyland Paris' reputation as a must-see destination for families, couples and Disney fans from all over the world, seeking to create magical memories in an ever more enchanting setting.

The doors to the new, transformed Disneyland Paris will open gradually from 2024, promising magical new adventures that will reaffirm why this remains the beating heart of Disney magic in Europe.
