Le Grand Rex, the iconic Paris cinema, has lifted the veil on its new premium cinema, christened infinite. With a capacity of 296 seats, this avant-garde cinema combines exceptional aesthetics with cutting-edge technologies, notably with the integration of Dolby Atmos immersive sound.

The Grand Rex's premium INFINITE theater promises moviegoers an incomparable cinematic experience. Equipped with Dolby Atmos, it offers spectators total immersion thanks to multidimensional sound.

The use of Dolby Atmos in cinema enables ultra-precise positioning of sound objects in space, creating an immersive soundscape. Audiences find themselves plunged into the heart of the plot, as sound travels around them to reveal a strikingly authentic sound experience.

Currently, over 290 cinemas in France are equipped with Dolby Atmos technology, spread across more than 170 towns and cities, from major cinema chains to independent exhibitors. This makes France the European leader in terms of equipped cinemas. Dolby Atmos is also the sound of choice in 12 Dolby Cinema theaters, including Pathé and Cineplanet, as well as in over 40 ICE (CGR) theaters in France.

The Infinite theatre at the Grand Rex, with its unique 430 m2 surface area, combines technology and comfort. With 296 seats equipped with reclining leather seats spaced 1.40 meters apart, it offers optimum comfort and generous legroom. A bar at the rear of the theatre offers quality products to enhance the cinematic experience. What's more, the room can change color before the screening, adapting to the mood and identity of the film thanks to its 2 kilometers of LED lights.

In addition, a specially-designed presentation video highlights the benefits of Dolby Atmos immersive sound, with perfect synchronization between the screen and the lighting effects orchestrated in the room.
