Scheduled for a United States release on March 22, 2024, by Columbia Pictures under Sony Pictures Releasing, Frozen Empire marks the fifth film in the Ghostbusters series. The film's score, composed by Dario Marianelli, was confirmed on January 18, 2024, bringing a musical dimension to the supernatural narrative. The release date for Frozen Empire experienced a shift, moving from its original date of December 20, 2023, to March 29, 2024, and eventually settling on March 22, 2024.

Sony Pictures released the first teaser trailer on November 8, 2023, revealing the official title as Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and unveiling the synopsis, creating heightened anticipation among fans. As a bonus for streaming enthusiasts, Sony secured deals with Netflix and Disney for the rights to the film, with Netflix holding exclusive streaming rights for the initial 18-month period.

Synopsis :
The Spengler family returns to where it all began, New York's iconic firehouse.
