By Mulder, 12 december 2023

James Wan's long-awaited film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is in danger of losing its colors, but this time it's for a good cause. Coral Gardeners, a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration of coral reefs, has teamed up with Warner Bros. Pictures to raise awareness of ocean conservation and raise funds to restore these threatened jewels of biodiversity.

Through The Lost Colors digital initiative, Warner Bros. Pictures and Coral Gardeners are inviting audiences worldwide to take part in the restoration of the trailer for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The film, scheduled for release internationally on December 20 and in North America on December 22, becomes the catalyst for a global movement to support coral reef restoration through donations.

Everyone is encouraged to become an ocean superhero, like Aquaman, by making a donation to save the world's coral reefs. These unique ecosystems are currently threatened by global warming, losing their vitality and color.

Titouan Bernicot, founder and CEO of Coral Gardeners, says: With a mission to revolutionize marine conservation and create a global movement to save coral reefs through coral restoration efforts, we are very proud to partner with Warner Bros. Pictures for the release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Aquaman is literally the ocean's superhero, and has the power to rally audiences behind our mission.

Jason Momoa, the actor who plays Aquaman, is also a fervent advocate of ocean conservation and a long-standing ambassador of the Coral Gardeners project. Momoa has been actively involved in the association's activities in French Polynesia, helping to plant coral. Beyond his role on the big screen, Momoa is a true protector of the oceans.

Since its creation in 2017, Coral Gardeners has planted over 75,000 corals, and its ambitious goal is to step up reef restoration worldwide with one million corals planted by 2025, involving local communities in this crucial mission.

Xavier Petit, EMEA Director of Brand Partnerships at Warner Bros. Discovery, comments: "The partnership with Coral Gardeners around the release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is another example of Warner Bros. Discovery's commitment to positively impacting communities and contributing to environmental solutions through our global impact campaigns.

From December 12 to 22, the public is invited to make a donation to Coral Gardeners at [donation link] to join the movement and bring life and color back to the ocean. In addition, all participants making a donation to The Lost Colors activation will automatically have the chance to win an original Aquaman artwork signed by director James Wan.

Join the movement, become an ocean hero, and help preserve the splendor of coral reefs for future generations.
