Sony Pictures Entertainment is all set to present Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, A Celebration of Music with a Live Orchestral Concert at the David Geffen Theater at the Academy Museum on Friday, December 1. This exclusive event will feature an exhilarating blend of electronics, turntables, and a live orchestra performing the original score from Columbia Pictures/Sony Pictures Animation's box office hit Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, composed by Academy Award® nominee and Emmy® award-winning composer Daniel Pemberton.

The concert will also include special appearances by notable figures in the Spider-Verse world. Screenwriters/producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller will be in attendance, along with directors Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, writers Dave Callaham, and executive music producer and Grammy® award-nominated artist Metro Boomin.

Metro’s songs and Daniel’s score create a groundbreaking and vital aural portrait of Miles Morales’ world, said screenwriters/producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Daniel is a relentlessly inventive composer who circuit bends new instruments for new worlds - creating five unique musical approaches for each universe that he wove into a unified symphony. Metro’s standout songwriting and production aims to not just be authentic but to elevate the struggles of Miles and his family to something lyrical and lovely. Ultimately what makes Daniel and Metro’s music so memorable is its emotional intimacy. It draws us into the story. It falls in love, it says goodbye, it stands and fights. We love it because it loves us back.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, A Celebration of Music with Live Orchestral Concert promises to be a celebration of the incredible music that has been a significant part of the Spider-Verse journey. It will offer fans and music enthusiasts a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the sounds of Miles Morales' world.

The film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, made its theatrical debut on June 2nd and received critical acclaim for its cutting-edge animation, visual effects, editing, directing, writing, and original score and soundtrack. It emerged as the third highest-grossing film of the year at the North American box office, grossing $381.3 million.

This live orchestral concert is set to be a memorable and immersive experience for fans and a fitting celebration of the music that has enriched the Spider-Verse.
