Get ready for a thrilling ride as Netflix is set to release Lift an upcoming American heist comedy film, on January 12, 2024. Directed by the renowned F. Gary Gray and written by the talented Daniel Kunka, this action-packed comedy features an all-star cast, including Kevin Hart (who also serves as producer), Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D'Onofrio, Úrsula Corberó, Billy Magnussen, Jacob Batalon, Jean Reno, and Sam Worthington.

In March 2021, Netflix acquired Dan Kunka's spec script for Lift, with Simon Kinberg's Genre Pictures and Matt Reeves' 6th & Idaho on board as producers. This exciting venture brought F. Gary Gray into the director's chair, with the charismatic Kevin Hart attached to star and produce. The film's principal photography took place from February to May 2022, with filming locations in Italy and Northern Ireland. Notably, Belfast's Harbour Studios and the breathtaking Miramare Castle grounds in Trieste were among the film's picturesque backdrops.

Originally scheduled for release on August 25, 2023, Lift had to postpone its debut due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike in the United States, which impacted the film's promotion. However, fans can now mark their calendars for January 12, 2024, as the new release date promises to deliver an exhilarating and comedic heist experience.

Synopsis:
In Lift, an international heist crew, led by the quick-witted Cyrus Whitaker (Kevin Hart), embarks on a high-stakes mission to steal $500 million in gold from a passenger plane at an astonishing altitude of 40,000 feet. Get ready for laughs, suspense, and unexpected twists as the crew races against time to pull off the ultimate heist.
