In a video message released on Sunday, November 5, President Emmanuel Macron expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Paris Games Week, held from November 1 to November 5 at Paris Expo - Porte de Versailles, for its unwavering support and promotion of the video game industry.

The President's message comes after a week of Next Level Paris Games Week, the 2023 edition of France's largest video game exhibition, which saw the presence of six government officials, including the Minister of the Economy and Finance, Bruno Le Maire.

With this resounding recognition from the government, the video game industry firmly establishes itself as the leading cultural sector. In 2022, it generated a staggering revenue of 5.5 billion euros, surpassing the combined earnings of the film and music industries. Furthermore, more than 70% of the French population actively participates in gaming.
