The Empire Strips Back: the Burlesque Parody comes to the Théâtre du Gymnase Marie-Bell from October 6, 2023 Ready to join the dark side of the force? The famous parody The Empire Strips Back: la Parodie Burlesque is coming to Europe for the first time, and it's coming to Paris! This sold-out show (over 100,000 tickets sold) in the United States (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, San Diego...), and Australia (Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane...), features iconic characters from the famous science-fiction universe. With dance, theater and parades, all in costume, don't miss the most daring show in the galaxy!

For almost two hours, spectators will experience scenes worthy of an unclassifiable film, combining science fiction, comedy and seduction, with a host of surprises to punctuate the show's crescendo tempo and boiling temperature. From the Jedis to the sexy Stormtroopers, Princess Leia, Han Solo and a more effeminate Skywalker than the original, this show features the iconic characters from the famous saga in a spicy burlesque show.

The dancers' performance, the realism of the sets, the lighting effects and the eclectic music (from Guns'N Roses to Nicki Minaj) all combine to create a special kind of enchantment in the delirious universe of The Empire Strips Back:

"We're delighted that this show is coming to Paris, to this legendary venue. Initially programmed in a 150-seat venue in Sydney for three nights, The Empire Strips Back: la Parodie Burlesque was such a success that an Australian tour was quickly organized with sold-out venues. On his latest American tour, the show was then programmed in prestigious venues such as Chinatown's Great Star Theater in San Francisco, the Wiltern in Los Angeles and PlayStation Theater in New York. We're hoping that French audiences will turn out in force to join us on the dark side of the Force," says Lisa Toyer, Choreographer.

Born of a dynamic collaboration between Foster Entertainment and Neil Gooding Productions, Nx5 Theatrical offers live performances with a distinctive touch. With expertise developed on Broadway and Las Vegas, Nx5 presents a portfolio of international productions such as "Rufus Wainwright sings Judy Garland" at the Olympia and "Les Marionnettes du Pénis" at the Palais des Glaces, as well as the internationally acclaimed burlesque parody "The Empire Strips Back".
