RoboCop is a fictional character and franchise from the 1987 sci-fi action film of the same name. The character and its sequels, spin-offs and adaptations have become icons of popular culture. RoboCop is a cyborg police officer who serves as the franchise's protagonist. The original film is set in the dystopian future of Detroit, where crime and corruption are rampant. The main character, Alex Murphy, is a police officer who is brutally killed in the line of duty. His body is then transformed into a powerful cyborg by Omni Consumer Products (OCP) to become a half-man, half-machine crime fighter.

The film explores the themes of technology, corruption and the blurred boundary between man and machine. RoboCop is equipped with advanced weaponry, armor and a computerized interface that aids him in his mission to fight crime and defend justice. The character's iconic design features a silver and black robotic suit with a distinctive helmet. The success of the original film led to several sequels, including RoboCop 2 (1990) and RoboCop 3 (1993), although the latter received a lukewarm reception from audiences and critics alike. The franchise was also extended to TV series, cartoons, comics and video games, reinforcing the character's popularity. RoboCop's cultural impact extends beyond the movies, as the character has been referenced and parodied in various forms of media. The franchise has explored themes of corporate greed, political corruption and the ethical implications of advanced technology.

RoboCop: Rogue City is produced by development studio Teyon and video game publisher NACON in collaboration with Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM), a leading entertainment company specializing in the production of premium film and TV content. RoboCop: Rogue City is scheduled for release on PC and consoles in September 2023.

More information on RoboCop: Rogue City will be shared at a later date.
