“For me, one of the most thrilling and fulfilling parts of making LA LA LAND was scoring the film to a live orchestra: phenomenal local musicians playing in real-time to the Technicolor images, bringing Justin's compositions to vivid life,” said Chazelle.

Street Food Cinema, in collaboration with Hurwitz Concerts and Lionsgate, announced LA LA Land in concert taking place at Los Angeles State Historic Park on Saturday, September 16th. Composer Justin Hurwitz will conduct his Oscar®-winning score and Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and Justin Hurwitz’s Oscar®-winning song “City of Stars”, performed live-to-film by a 52-piece symphony orchestra and jazz band, accompanying the film's original vocal recordings. LA LA LAND, the Lionsgate film written and directed by Damien Chazelle, grossed nearly $450 million at the worldwide box office, earning 14 Academy Award® nominations and six Oscars®, including an Oscar® for Chazelle as Best Director.
"Damien made a beautiful tribute to Los Angeles with LA LA LAND, and it's been six years since I've performed the score in LA, so I couldn't be more excited to bring this concert screening back home,” said composer Justin Hurwitz. “I'm going to be conducting an orchestra of incredible LA musicians, along with the film. People get to see the film and hear the recorded vocal performances by Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling, and John Legend from the film's soundtrack, all blended with a live orchestra performance. I have so much fun conducting this concert, and I think people will love it."

Guests will also have numerous food options for the night, with participating food trucks and vendors including District Burger, Nacho Me Vegan, Daddy Ji, Love Bird, MexiBachi, Angelenos Wood Fire Pizza, Seoulmates, Westside Banh Mi, and BBQ Smokehouse.
