VideoGames - Grendizer is back in France thanks to Manga Productions

Manga Productions, a leading creative content company, is set to announce major news for all Grendizer fans next month. For several months now, Manga Productions has been investing more and more in Grendizer through various large-scale commercial initiatives. 

On August 25, 2022, Manga Productions, supported by several Japanese partners including Dynamic Planning, the owner of the Grendizer rights, announced a new Grendizer project under the name PROJECT G. The announcement was made with great fanfare, with a first teaser presented by Grendizer creator Go Nagai.

In parallel with PROJECT G, Manga Productions has launched a major talent contest. Illustrators from all over the world were given the opportunity to submit designs for enemy vehicles: the "Saucer Beasts". Over 1,000 artists from all over the world took part in the competition, which was a great success! The top 3 were awarded a substantial cash prize of $15,000. The results of the competition are now published on PROJECT G's social networks (@NextGrendizer).

Following this, Manga Productions announced a strategic partnership agreement with Dynamic Planning. This partnership authorizes the exploitation of the Grendizer license and its characters through theme parks and special events throughout the Middle East. 

A few days later, Manga Productions and Sela, a leading Saudi entertainment company, set up a life-size statue of Grendizer in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The 33.7-meter-high statue has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's largest metal sculpture of a fictional character.

In an earlier press release, Dr Essam Bukhary, CEO of Manga Productions, said: "Manga Productions has had many successful co-production experiences with our Japanese partners. As a result, their level of trust is at its highest with us, and this is enabling us to achieve multiple successes through this joint collaboration. This partnership will enable Manga Productions to revolutionize the creative content industry."

Mr. Ichinao Nagai, who holds the position of Executive Producer at Dynamic Planning, shared his thoughts on the collaboration, which took place in 2022, via a statement in an earlier press release, saying, "We are confident that our partnership with Manga Productions will solidify our beloved "Grendizer" license, one of Mr. Go Nagai's favorite creations. This will enable us to create a variety of interactive entertainment experiences in the Middle East that will delight our audiences in this region. We are convinced that we will be able to increase the popularity of "Grendizer" through this strategic partnership with Manga Productions by activating various initiatives."

In addition, Manga Productions signed a publishing and distribution agreement on March 9, 2023 with the renowned French games company Microids. With this agreement, Manga Productions will publish Microids' new game "GRENDIZER: Feast of the Wolves" in the Middle East and North Africa. Manga Productions will work with Microids to localize the game for audiences in the Middle East and North Africa, and will offer Saudi talent the opportunity to be part of this localization.
