Today, Gene Cousineau (Henry Winkler) from HBO’s Barry took over Canter’s Deli to give away 300 pastrami and reuben sandwiches to visiting Television Academy Members. Gene Cousineau, the beloved acting coach from Barry, took over the lobby and went table to table introducing himself to members and Canter’s Deli patrons during the Saturday lunch period as members dined on the free pastrami and reuben sandwiches.
Canter’s Deli served as just one of the many LA-area locations for the Emmy Award-winning series Barry. Other notable locations included Coral Tree Cafe, Dave & Busters in Torrence, Cielo Wines in Malibu, Rocky Oaks Estate Winery, Dream Hotel Hollywood, and Lucy’s El Adobe Cafe in Hollywood.
