By Mulder, 30 may 2023

The LEGO Group today adds a new set to the LEGO Batman collection with The Batcave - The Shadow Box. The result of a collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products and DC, this build features both beautiful exhibits and iconic iconography, perfect for Batman fans.

Inspired by Warner Bros. Pictures, this new 3,981-brick model is rich in detail to delight fans. It features the complete batcave inside a display case cut in the shape of the Batman logo. At the heart of the construction is the masked avenger's famous batmobile. Like the batcave, the shadow box is packed with features and gadgets, including the ability to move furniture, change images on the control screen, open a vault or a door, as well as being equipped with a light brick.

The Batcave is a fictional location associated with the DC Comics character, Batman. It serves as Batman's main base of operations, hidden beneath Wayne Manor, the ancestral home of Bruce Wayne, also known as Batman. Here's some essential information about the Batcave:
- A secret base: The Batcave is a secret underground lair that offers Batman a safe, private place to carry out his crime-fighting activities. Its hidden entrance is usually located somewhere in Wayne Manor.
- Technological marvel: the Batcave is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and advanced crime-fighting equipment. It has a large number of computers, communication systems, surveillance equipment and a vast database containing information on criminals and other relevant data.
- Training facilities: The Batcave houses several training areas that allow Batman to hone his physical and mental skills. These include combat simulators, obstacle courses and a wide range of specialized training equipment.
- Vehicle storage: Batman's fleet of vehicles, including the iconic Batmobile, is stored and maintained in the Batcave. The cave offers ample space for vehicle storage, repair and customization.
- Batman's computer: The Batcave houses the Batcomputer, a highly advanced supercomputer that helps Batman analyze data, solve crimes and strategize against his opponents. It is connected to a vast network of surveillance cameras and databases, providing Batman with real-time information.
- Trophy room: Batman often keeps souvenirs of his various encounters and adventures in a dedicated area of the Batcave called the Trophy Room. This room features items such as weapons, costumes and other artifacts collected over the years.
- Medical facilities: The Batcave is equipped with medical facilities to treat Batman's injuries and provide him with the resources he needs to recover. These facilities include an advanced medical bay and a wide range of medical supplies and equipment.
- Alfred's presence: Alfred Pennyworth, Batman's loyal butler and confidant, often assists Batman in the Batcave. Alfred provides support by maintaining the cave, assisting with technological operations and giving Batman advice.

The product includes all-new minifigures of Catwoman and the Penguin, as well as minifigures of Bruce Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth and Max Shreck. The Batcave - The Shadow Box will be available to LEGO VIP members from June 5, and to the general public from June 8, on LEGO.com/Batman and in LEGO stores, for €399.99.
