The Walking Dead is a popular franchise that has been adapted into various forms of media, including television, comics, and video games. The Walking Dead initially started as a comic book series created by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore, which was later adapted into a highly successful television series of the same name. The TV show follows a group of survivors as they navigate a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies, referred to as "walkers." It focuses on the characters' struggles for survival, their interactions with other survivors, and the moral dilemmas they face. In terms of video games, there have been several adaptations of The Walking Dead franchise. Notably, Telltale Games released an episodic graphic adventure game series called The Walking Dead in 2012, which was critically acclaimed for its storytelling and character development. Additionally, there have been other video games set in The Walking Dead universe, including The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct and "Overkill's The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead: Dead City is an upcoming American post-apocalyptic horror drama television series created by Eli Jorné, based on The Walking Dead characters Maggie and Negan. It is the fourth spin-off and overall fifth series in The Walking Dead franchise, sharing continuity with the other television series, and the first sequel to The Walking Dead TV series. Jorné serves as showrunner. Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan reprise their roles as Maggie and Negan from the original television series, along with Gaius Charles, Jonathan Higginbotham, Mahina Napoleon, Trey Santiago-Hudson, and Charlie Solis also starring.

After having had the privilege of being the first broadcaster of the cult original series, and of the anthology "Tales of The Walking Dead in early 2023, the saga The Walking Dead is enriched by a new chapter with the upcoming arrival of the spin-off The Walking Dead: Dead Cit". This highly anticipated new series, whose first season will consist of six episodes, will focus on two of the most iconic characters of the mother series, Negan and Maggie. Far from rural Georgia where the initial action took place, our two protagonists will have to face a new threat in the vastness of the Big Apple, and join forces despite their past antagonism. In addition to Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the cast includes Gaius Charles, best known for his role as Smash Williams in the series Friday Night Lights as well as Zeljko Ivanek, whose performances in series such as 24 Hours, Homicide or the cult classic Oz are still remembered. As for the showrunner Eli Jorne, who had already worked on The Walking Dead in the past, she will be assisted by the unavoidable Scott Gimple, who supervises all the productions of this real The Walking Dead Univers.

The Walking Dead: Dead City is scheduled to premiere on June 18, 2023, and will consist of six episodes.

Synopsis :
A few years after the events in Commonwealth, Maggie and Negan travel to a post-apocalyptic Manhattan long cut off from the mainland. The ruined city is filled with the dead and the people who have turned New York into a lawless world filled with terror.
