Muzik'Elles de Meaux is a unique festival, launched in 2005 with the ambition to honor the plural feminine creation, to create meetings, to reveal new talents. The first life of this event was a beautiful adventure of ten editions with undeniable success. In 2014, the City of Meaux (organizer of the festival), had to suspend it in a particularly constrained budgetary context. Eight years later, Jean-François Copé, the Mayor of Meaux decided to relaunch this large-scale musical event. As a prelude to its true rebirth over two days in 2023, an exceptional evening was offered to the public on Saturday, September 24, 2022 with Calogero and Hoshi as headliners; Marie-Flore, the group YN and Naomi Greene completed the program. This year, the festival is back with an 11th edition on September 23 and 24. On the program, all the ingredients that made the success and the uniqueness of Muzik'Elles de Meaux. Some "They" in a sea of "They".
Saturday, September 23rd
- Coline Rio, a talented author and composer from Nantes, will open the ball. She released in 2022 her first EP Lourd et Délicat, a singular journey in the heart of French song and electro-acoustic music in which she reveals herself in a poetic register, halfway between Barbara and Agnès Obel.
- Ad& will also be present for this first evening of concerts. Between lush pop and futuristic country, the former singer of the group Thérapie Taxi released her first solo album Et alors? last September. She sings with accuracy, aplomb and a touch of candor the multiple landscapes of love and its changing weather, in a saloon atmosphere.
- Suzane quickly won the public's heart with her first album, certified gold, and a finely crafted stage show. In November 2022, she released a new project, Caméo, in which she tells her story, Océane, through strong tracks, sometimes pop and catchy, sometimes acoustic and melodious.
- Charlène Juarez is a multiple artist, musician, singer and composer. Her adolescence is marked by hours spent at her piano, competitions, and rock concerts, from Radiohead, Green Day, to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Today, she composes with her soul, deliberately choosing to leave the intellect aside.
- Czesare, a 24 year old singer-songwriter, has always been rocked to jazz by her drummer father. On stage, she delivers a guitar-vocal style that ranges from funk to more introspective songs. Her universe has already seduced artists such as -M-, Feu! Chatterton or Cats on Trees who have asked her to be their opening act.
- M alias Mathieu Chedid will finish in beauty by having carte blanche. He will invite female artists to his side in the pure tradition of the festival. On tour with his Rêvalité Tour, which accompanies his 7th opus of the same name, he returns surrounded by a group of carefully selected musicians, including Gail Ann Dorsey, former bassist for David Bowie. The artist returns to his groove and funk roots.
Sunday, September 24
- Mentissa, recently nominated at the Victoires de la Musique, will launch the second day of the festival. The singer revealed in the show The Voice with her coach Vianney, released her first album La vingtaine with already popular titles such as Et Bam ! or Balance. An unfiltered self-portrait by a young woman who is certain to have found her place.
- Chiara Foschiani, a very promising singer with a surprisingly mature creativity, aims to show the place that women can and want to make in the music industry. Winner of the 2022 springboard #77, Chiara will release her new album The Forgotten Color in the spring of 2023.
- Nej', the new R'nB sensation, will take the stage in turn. With an eclectic musical universe, the labels with her fly away before disappearing. Her fans love each of her tracks which have gathered 18 million streams on listening platforms.
- Next, the duo Billet d'humeur, from the Meaux region, will introduce us to a surprise guest. Allan and Brice, co-founders of the original group, keep this amazing cocktail of pop/hip-hop tinged with African rhythms alive.
- Lisa Pariente, an artist with an incisive freshness, will make the public discover her universe full of self-mockery and lucidity in which she evokes the preoccupations of her generation through an infectious pop.
- Jenifer returns with her new album n°9; a return to her roots with pop and vintage sounds. Jenifer is a family celebration; children and adults will not miss her performance at the closing of this 11th edition of Muzik'Elles de Meaux.
