Parc-Asterix - Festival Toutatis: a new attraction worthy of all records

In the spring of 2023, Parc Asterix is launching the most ambitious project since its creation: the Toutatis Festival. This new area dedicated to the Gaulish God Toutatis will cover 3 hectares with an exceptional scenography in the Universe of Gaul. After more than 2 years of work and a budget of 36 million euros, this family area offers a major attraction, a family attraction, a playground, a restaurant, a sweet kiosk and a store.

An ode to excess! After more than two years of work carried out by the greatest specialists, the opening of the new attraction of the Parc Asterix is scheduled for spring 2023. And its features alone will make you dizzy! Visitors will embark on a journey rich in sensations during which they will experience no less than 7 accelerations forward and backward, up to a maximum speed of 110km/h (French record). On more than 1300m of circuit, they will cross a total of 32 elements, including a 51m high vertical arrow, a 101° inclined fall, 3 inversions, and will feel 23 airtimes* (world record for a steel roller coaster). This new attraction, the result of the largest investment ever made by Parc Asterix, is set to become one of the world's leading attractions.

Because of the location of this new zone, situated in the Gaulish world of the Park and the existing wooded environment, the theme chosen for the sets and the scenography is inspired by the stories of the Carnutes forest:

Abraracourcix, accompanied by the inhabitants of the Village, must go to the Tumulus of Toutatis, a megalithic site, a place of worship dedicated to the protective god of the tribe to preside over a great festival organized in honor of Toutatis. For this festival, gathering various Gallic tribes,

stalls, souvenir shops, and food outlets have been set up around the Tumulus of Toutatis, including a new restaurant, Le Dolmen Gourmand. But the highlight of the celebrations remains the Ritual of Courage, indeed the druids of the forest of carnutes helped by Getafix have transposed the precepts of the god Toutatis in a ritual of courage. The visitors will enter the great tumulus and take place on board the wagons to face this ritual and prove their courage!

Thus the project of the new area is in the spirit of a Gallic Festival in the middle of the Forest of Carnutes where the Gallic tribes come to celebrate their God Toutatis. The program elements and decorations will be linked to this Gallic festive atmosphere.

This new area is suitable for the whole family. The Chez Gyrofolix attraction is a family attraction whose hypnotic movement will amuse the youngest and the oldest. With its 4 arms that rotate in orbit, visitors will fly over peaks. For the little Gauls, the Golden Boar playground is located at the entrance of the zone. With its many activities and giant boar, this will be the largest play area created in the Park.

Parc Asterix, a potion tested and approved for 30 years. Located 35 km north of Paris, Parc Asterix is a mix of 47 attractions and shows staged in 6 universes (Gaul, the Roman Empire, Ancient Greece, the Vikings, Through Time and Egypt). Parc Asterix is a stunning adventure aboard OzIris, the pharaonic attraction, or Goudurix, the roller coaster with 7 loops; emotions for the little Gauls in Dogmatix's Forest, or sensations for the whole family in the Pegasus Express attraction! And after a day full of adventures, the Park also offers three hotels with a unique atmosphere, in the heart of the forest, to prolong the experience!
