Videogames - Street fighter 6 : Discover the last three playable fighters available at launch

By Jeremy Wilson, 24 february 2023

During Playstation's State of Play Digital Event broadcast last night, players were introduced to Cammy, Zangief and Lily, the final three playable characters scheduled to be released for Street Fighter 6 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam) on June 2, 2023.

This trio of fighters completes the 18-character launch roster, which includes the eight historical Street Fighter™ characters (Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Guile, Zangief, E. Honda, Blanka, Dhalsim), four recurring characters from the saga (Cammy, Juri, Dee Jay, Luke) and six newcomers (Lily, Jamie, Kimberly, Manon, Marisa, JP). Like the other characters revealed earlier, Cammy, Zangief and Lily each have their own fighting style and personality:

Cammy

First appearing in Super Street Fighter™ II, cat-friendly Cammy returns with her arsenal of super-powered attacks, including the Spiral Arrow, Cannon Spike and Holligan Combination. The superior version of each of these three moves has been enhanced to allow for a delay and modified properties or damage. Upon encountering her, players will visit the King Street level, the hazy, industrial scene where she operates. Her Super Arts such as the Killer Bee Spin and Delta Red Assault will be her main assets in bringing her opponents to their knees and thrilling the crowd.

Zangief

the huge wrestler makes his entrance in the ring! A staple of the series who loves to show off his power in the Barmaley Steelworks stage, Pro Wrestler Zangief retains his iconic throws such as the Screw Piledriver and the Siberian Express. He also adopts new moves like the Tundra Storm counter-projection. His level 2 Cyclone Lariat and level 3 Bolshoi Storm Buster are sure to cement his reputation as a strong man in the Street Fighter universe.

Lily

A newcomer to the roster, Lily will look familiar to some of the regulars as she is a descendant of the Thunderfoot tribe, the tribe of the iconic T. Hawk who first appeared in Super Street Fighter II. Small but mighty, Lily talks to the nature spirits in the Thunderfoot Colony and defeats her enemies with her ferocious Condor Dive, Condor Spire and Tomahawk Buster. Condor Wind provides an augmentation that strengthens each of the previous attacks. Lily wields her war clubs to block her opponents with her level 1 Super Art, Breezing Hawk, and slams them to the ground with her level 3 Super Art, Raging Typhoon.

Street Fighter 6, already available for pre-order, is the next evolution of the Street Fighter saga offering a variety of unique fighting game innovations across three new game modes (Fighting Ground, World Tour and Battle Hub) and will be ready to hit the ground running again when it launches globally on June 2, 2023 for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam).
