Just under two months before the release of Dead Island 2, studio Dambuster and Deep Silver reveal more about its gameplay. This new video kicks off the game, in the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles. 

Equipped with an arsenal of weapons, with a unique and brutal fighting style, we follow Dani as she encounters multiple infected: Standard Zombies (Contaminated, Stragglers, Sprinters), Variants (Contaminated Grenadiers) and Apexes (hyper mutated zombies). All have unique powers and personalities.  Originally from County Cork in Ireland, Dani is tenacious but sensible. This makes her perfectly suited to an agile fighting style. Her mission? To get to the Halperin Hotel.

Learn about the use of skill cards. These enhance abilities and adapt to your play style. Help Dani make her way through the first part of the story! The Dambuster studio's dismemberment technique allows you to crush bones, slice zombies and flare flesh. Defeating zombies has never been so satisfying. 

You're infected, but it turns out you seem to be immune after all. Then find out what happens when our heroes activate their corrupted DNA and trigger the Blood Wrath mode.   For the purposes of this trailer, some of the characters' weapons and abilities have been unlocked, but will not be accessible until later in the game.

 Dead Island 2 is a first-person action-RPG set in a gory version of Los Angeles, nicknamed HELL-A. The series' unique formula, dark humor and zombie dismemberment system make a comeback. The video game will be available on April 21, 2023 on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4 and the Epic Games Store.
