Haunted Mansion is an upcoming American supernatural horror comedy film directed by Justin Simien from a screenplay by Katie Dippold and stars LaKeith Stanfield, Rosario Dawson, Chase W. Dillon, Owen Wilson, Tiffany Haddish, Winona Ryder, Dan Levy, Hasan Minhaj, Danny DeVito, Jared Leto, and Jamie Lee Curtis. Produced by Walt Disney Pictures, the film is the second theatrical film adaptation of Walt Disney's theme park attraction of the same name, following the 2003 film.

Inspired by the legendary Disneyland attraction, Haunted Mansion tells the story of a mother and son who hire a team of pseudo-experts to help them hunt the various ghosts and spectres that haunt their home.

Plans for the reboot adaptation based on The Haunted Mansion began in July 2010, when Guillermo del Toro, who intended to write and produce, stated the project would take place in a heightened reality rather than in a real-world setting. del Toro was no longer attached as the project's director in July 2013. After spending years in development hell, Disney officially announced Haunted Mansion in August 2020, with Dippold signed on to write a new screenplay for the film. Simien negotiated to direct the film by April 2021, and was officially confirmed three months later. The primary cast was confirmed from July to October, while additional cast was announced the following year. 

Principal photography ran from mid-October 2021 to late February 2022 in New Orleans, Louisiana and Atlanta, Georgia.On January 14, 2022, Haddish got into legal trouble after being arrested on a DUI charge as filming for the movie was still taking place in Georgia. The visual effects and stereo conversion will be handled by DNEG. The film score is been composed by Kris Bowers.

On March 1, 2023, the teaser poster was unveiled, with the teaser trailer announced to premiere the next day. Britta DeVore of Collider said it looked to be "keeping in line with the fan-favorite ride", citing the portrait corridor. Alongside the trailer, a second poster was released on March 2, 2023.

Phantom Manor is a dark ride attraction in Frontierland at Disneyland Park in Disneyland Paris. Phantom Manor is the park's version of The Haunted Mansion attractions at Disneyland, Magic Kingdom and Tokyo Disneyland, although it is designed to be darker in tone compared to other Haunted Mansion rides. It opened with Euro Disneyland on April 12, 1992. The attraction combines a walk-through portion with Omnimover vehicles and features special effects and Audio-Animatronics. This version of the ride has a distinct plot, compared to the largely ambiguous story lines of the other Haunted Mansion attractions in Disney parks. The ride also features a unique orchestral soundtrack, differing from the American and Japanese versions.

Haunted Mansion is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 28, 2023.

Synopsis : 
A mother and her nine-year-old son are looking to start a new life. They jump at an opportunity they can't pass up, an affordable mansion in New Orleans. Little do they know that the house is already home to unexpected residents. When they realize the mansion is haunted, they hire a team of pseudo-experts to help them hunt down the various specters and ghosts that haunt their home.
