Movies - Ghostface enters the Grévin Museum

The worldwide Pop Culture phenomenon, Ghostface, will integrate the Grévin Museum, on February 22nd, for the pleasure of the 800 000 annual visitors. Created by screenwriter Kevin Williamson, the serial killer first appeared in the 1996 film Scream, directed by Wes Craven. Since then, five films have been released and Scream has become the biggest horror franchise of all time in France. The films have sold more than 8.6 million tickets in France alone and have generated more than $730 million in revenue worldwide.

Visiting the Musée Grévin, some moviegoers wanted to immortalize their meeting with Ghostface, the central character of the Scream saga with 8.6 million tickets sold in France, but everything did not go as planned...

On March 10, Ghostface will strike again on the big screen in Scream VI. Directed by Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, the survivors of the Ghostface murders have decided to leave Woodsboro to begin a new chapter. Courteney Cox reprises her role as Gale Weathers for the sixth time in a row while phenomenon Jenna Ortega and her friends Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding all reprise their roles from the previous film. This sixth installment also marks the return of Hayden Panettiere, whose character of Kirby was introduced in Scream 4. Scream VI is an upcoming American slasher film directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick, with original franchise writer and creator Kevin Williamson returning as executive producer. It will be the sixth installment in the Scream film series and will be a direct sequel to Scream (2022). The film stars Courteney Cox, Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Mason Gooding, Hayden Panettiere and Jasmin Savoy Brown, who are all reprising their roles from previous installments. Dermot Mulroney, Henry Czerny, Samara Weaving and Tony Revolori were later added to the cast. 

After Ghostface's final murders, four survivors leave Woodsboro for a new chapter. In Scream VI, Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy Meeks-Martin), Mason Gooding (Chad Meeks-Martin), Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter), Hayden Panettiere (Kirby Reed) and Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers) reprise their roles in the franchise alongside Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra and Samara Weaving.

Filming began on June 9, 2022, in Montreal, Canada, with Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein and William Sherak acting as producers under Project X Entertainment, while Chad Villella, Cathy Konrad, Marianne Maddalena and Williamson will serve as executive producers. While in July 2022, the film was still untitled officially, production documents revealed the working title to be "Blackmore", while set photos showed Scream !! as a working title.Hayden Panettiere posed for a set photo on August 6, along with Jasmin Savoy Brown, that was picked up by various media outlets given her return to the franchise. Courteney Cox revealed she had finished filming her part as of August 14. Filming ended in late August.

Scream VI is set to be released in the United States on March 10, 2023
